when grace talked about having a second stomach for sweets it reminded me of this word in japanese which is called 別腹"betsubara" which translates to "another/different stomach" and it means that you have another stomach for sweets or candy or dessert!!! and there even was a program that tried to prove that "betsurabara" was an actual thing!

Hey so a lamington is a normal genoise sponge, sifted quite a few times to create alot of air, you should give them a go, would be so cool to see you make this aussie/new zealand treat.
@@fumthings well the lammington was first created in New Zealand , originally called the “Wellington” but was picked up years later in Australia, Queensland “lammington” so it’s a joint effort ☺️ both created great versions

I got the gingerbread men, the Mother’s Day and the vegan selection from doughnut time and I’m TOTALLY with you that they need to make mini ones. They’re delicious but too much!
A real lamington is a plain sponge dipped in chocolate icing and rolled in desiccated coconut. Fancy ones come with jam or jam and cream in the middle. Calling those cakes lamingtons is a bit of a stretch. They are more “lamington inspired”

Pleesecakes are the only one I had heard of and they were alll over TikTok in lockdown #1. I haven't tried anything from them but the company literally is down the road from me (or was) because they were on my deliver but are never on there anymore. Shame about all the prices otherwise I would deffo try those brownies!

The most common drink with Pimms is something called a Pimms cup. It's kind of a summery drink, and you can adjust it to taste however you like. Basically you mix the Pimm's with lemonade, and then add a whole bunch of summery (seasonal) fruit. You can change the lemonade to some other clear-ish, sweet soft drink, and in addition to (or instead of) fruit you can add whatever else you might see added to water at a fancy hotel, like maybe mint or basil or cucumber.
