He must of got a bad batch of chicken won ton tacos. They are usually delicious. I love the honey bbq boneless wing. The spinach dip is hit or miss. Great review Timmy, I was happy when I saw this.
The chicken wanton tacos are my absolute favorite thing on the menu. The only reason I can think you wouldn’t like it is the slaw on it unless something is spoiled.

Thanks for this Mr Timmy! One of my favorite things to do from 2013-2016 was to go to a place like Applebees or Chilis or a local restauant with one of 2 different lady friends and get a bunch of appetizers and split them. Sadly, both of those friends are no longer with us (RIP) and I eat healthier, work out, and have lost a bunch of weight since then. That said, I have had "cravings" to do something like that again recently so after seeing this, I'm thinking I may just go thru the online menus of some places nearby and get a bunch of appetizers and have a smorgasbord my next day off, lol!
I work at Applebee's, in the Carside/to-go..the Wonton tacos are definitely popular,along with the Spinach dip and the quesadillas..it's not part of the appetizers but I love their Chicken fajita rolls 😋
Timmy, you pronounce queso the right way, since queso is a Spanish word. I say to the haters, stop cancelling half of Timmy’s identity 😤😂 Some of us are bilingual queens, get over it 💅
But the way he says it in Spanish is the way we are telling him to say it….it’s when he takes away the Latin/Spanish accent he totally changes how he pronounces it and he starts saying it weird.
I worked at Applebee’s in Canada for several years. Nothing is really ‘homemade.’ Maybe US locations are different but even the lettuce comes prepackaged. The wonton tacos are bomb. The spinach dip was probably just microwaved. In restaurant they warm it up so it’s gooey and bubbly then sprinkle it with cheese and broil it until it gets crispy on top. Applebee’s as takeout is nasty. You have to eat it fresh. As soon as it sits for even a small amount of time it’s quality goes down savage.

You gotta try making some "homemade restaurant ranch" get a packet of hidden valley ranch DIP, mix with a 16oz tub of sour cream and 1/4 cup Sprite, stir it until the bubbles from the sprite are gone. If you want it more runny, add more Sprite. Sometimes I add in some parsley flakes and cracked black pepper.
I love the chips and queso and the spinach artichoke dip. So it must’ve been a bad batch of both because typically they’re creamy and salty in a good way and just amazing. Neither sounded like the typical flavor. So coulda been whoever prepared them that day.

They just dumped tons and tons of radioactive water into the Pacific, again. For someone like myself who works at Applebees, my game changer right now is getting the Brew Pub Pretzels, BUT instead of the beer cheese dip I substituted for the parm cream (Alfredo) sauce. IT’S SO GOOD!
Applebee's is the only chain sit-down restaurant we have in my town 🙃 - anything else is an hour away. That said, before the panini hit I went there with friends from work and that spinach dip was on-point.
Chicken wonton tacos & the french onion soup is the ONLY reason I still continue to go to Applebee's . Also their monthly drink specials are usually amazing .
I always think the alfredo is savory rather than salty. I stick with the mozzarella sticks and boneless wings. Not impressed with anything else, but I do like their alfredo on pasta.
Ya, I'm not an Applebee's fan, there are some gems on the menu, but they're few and far between. If I'm spending 20 bucks min on an entree, there are plenty of restaurants I'd rather go to, ya know 💜
I love the spinach artichoke dip. My daughter races over the chicken won ton tacos. I think it loses quality when you aren't eating it fresh at the restaurant. Not sure of how much time passes between your food being prepared and you consuming it but I think it's being "lost in translation ".
My go to at Applebees is the asain chili boneless wings, I use to love their buffalo because it came with buffalo sauce and a dry rub on the top but a manager told me they discontinued the dry rub on top of the buffalo because customers complained it was too spicy lol ...
The way you felt about the pretzels with beer cheese is how I felt about the wonton tacos. SO salty I couldn’t finish them. And your comment about items tasting like they are from the freezer made me laugh because years back there was a buzzfeed article I think that had honest company slogans. And Applebee’s was “ When you don’t feel like microwaving at home.” 😂
