Delhi born Malayali here. All these snacks are my favourite. Delhites who want to try these snacks should visit a South Indian general store in Delhi. There are several of them in almost every area. They're healthy and affordable, and an easy substitute for your store-bought chips and snacks.

There was a Christian aunty in my neighborhood she was a teacher. Nd she used to give us this snacks and we love it. Then my mom asked her recipe and specially made the (saancha) from a shop. And she learnt how to make it . Aunty shifted somewhere else but her love in that recipe is with us forever.
1:49 I have tried some type of Kerala bananas and I am guessing those are used to make the chips, but they are really good and better than regular bananas. It has different taste of its own, is orangish-yellowish in colour on inside as well and is really heavy and you'll easy be full by eating just one as it's huge as well. Everyone should try it once.
Yes it's so different. It's called Nendran Banana. It's exceptional. Kerala Banana Chips are different from other probably because of Nendran and Coconut oil .
10:18 There aren't any other achhappams 😂 but there are many other appams though I guess. Even though being a non- malayali I was waiting for kuzhalappam and unni appam! You should try those as well!
as a malayali i would always prefer banana chips cooked in coconut oil .these days in kerala u will also get the same cooked with other oil.s . u must knw the difference. cocount oil is always healthy. its good to apply them on face etc. ( good for external application pure coconut oil not the adultetated one) before bath.but never used that parachute oil 😂😂 till date
U should come here to Kerala and experience it best option and Calicut is the best city for foodie in whole malabar u get each and everything at one district please consider
