Trying BELGIAN FOOD in BRUSSELS | Belgian Mussels, Beers, Atomium Tour + more!

As much as Belgium is known for its fries and waffles, you absolutely cannot miss feasting on seafood when in Brussels! In our last food adventure in Brussels we do exactly that specifically hunting down the best mussels (or moules) in the city!
We start the day off light with a quick brekkie at Mokafé Taverne before heading out to the jaw-dropping Atomium! Constructedfor the 1958 World's Fair, this structure still looks like its been transported from the future!
Some sightseeing made us crave seafood and what better place than the seafood institution of Noordzee. This fishmonger/seafood restaurant does the freshest and most delicious seafood in the city with our favourites being the mussels of course and the razor clams.
Couldn't resist one last waffles stop so we dropped by Gaston for some waffles, ice cream, and hot chocolate before picking up some bean-to-bar chocoalte at Atelier Sainte Catherine!
Dinner brings us to the main event of Moules-frites at Le Zinneke. Not only is moules-frites an essential dish while in Brussels, but Le Zinneke is also one of the best places to get them!
We ended the day with a quick stroll through the beautiful Parc du Cinquantenaire at night before finishing off with an epic 10 beer tasting platter at Delirium Taphouse

It was amazing to see the city and the amazing sights but the food offerings was so good to see. I enjoy any types of food that involve mussels, chips and beer, and definitely mayo. But dang those waffles look delish as well. Looking forward to the Parisian cuisine.

Glad you enjoyed our last day in Brussels adventures!!! Would've stayed another day in Brussels if it meant having more waffles 😂 But yes the Paris vlogs are gonna be good! First one releases in 2 weeks time 😊

16:09 As you can read on the menu on top the mussels come my Dutch province: Zeeland. Or Zélande in Frnech.That's north-west of where you eat them there, or put the other way around Brussels is south-east to our province. In a way you were eating Dutch food!

@@mlambrechts1Yes and no... The Dutch mossels are generally quite large size, but not so tasty. I prefer the small ones you get more from the French areas (bouchot), they are tiny but super tasty.

does the girl know that the liege waffle is a Belgian waffle? she keeps calling the Brussels waffle a Belgian waffle, liege is just another city in Belgium. theyre both Belgian waffles

The Liege or Brussels waffles are copied everywhere, even in Japan but keep their names and 2 different receipes

@@PendelSteven There's no such thing as an "Antwerp waffle", even if it's served in Antwerp 🙂 It must have been either a Brussels or a Liège one. They're very different, so esay to tell apart: the Brussels waffle is as you see in this video report, the Liège one is smaller and much more compact, as it's full of sugar. As a result, only the Brussels waffle is eaten with a topping: the Liège waffle is sweet and heavy enough to need no addition.

@@GuyWets-zy5yt In Japan? Oh yes, the Japanese are crazy about them. I remember purchasing a "Belugii no waffulu" at such a small place as the buffet of Hirosaki station (North-Eastern Japan). Actually, it was a packaged industrial item, that was neither the Brussels nor the Liège type.

Man, they went into the tourist trap... In most Belgian restaurants, they serve 1 to 1.2 kilo's of mussels...

No, plenty of great places to eat in Brussels if you know where to go, and plenty of tourist traps as well just like in Bruges. But Gent is a way better place than Bruges. Trust me, I'm perfectly neutral, I'm from Brussels ;-)

@@MrDiamondFlyer every town has good places, gent is east flemish , i'm west flemish. bruges will always be better imo . lol been everywhere in belgium . i've been a truckdriver in the past for 14 years . i've been everywhere in belgium , netherlands , germany and france .
