STRING TENSION: forgot to mention; Razor Soft hold the tension quite well, after 2 weeks it still feels crisp...also, I think Daniil plays with same racket for the entire match, so it makes sense that maintaining the string tension was important to him when developing this. Lmk what you play with???

That simultaneous racquet throw. With his back turned. That’s hilarious.

I still don’t know how I could lose that point…after the first lob I ran out to the side celebrating…then I peak over and the freaking guy gets it back 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️ then the choke lob and it’s airborne time 😭😭

Allow me to intervene about string reviews being very subjective. Yes, they are. That't why it's super important to watch the guy talking about it actually hitting with the string. Rackets used are mentioned, so you may consider the string if you play the same racket or something else with very similar specs. Tension range is also mentioned. Then, the most important element of a review: watch the mechanics and compare your strokes to the ones of the reviewer(s). Don't ever forget that every info is still info with a specific target group, the ones who hit similarly to the guys in this clip. Look forward to more string reviews!

Cool review, might need to try this string if it holds tension as well as you have described in comments. Nice shoutout to Iga=) Now we are just waiting for the complete review of her racket!

The razor code gives the BEST feel I’ve ever had with all the other string I usually use (confidential, RPM blast). The crisp feeling is so addicting and it gives good spin, control and decent power. The only thing is that it has the WORST duration ever. It literally goes from the best string ever to the worst in couple hours of playing. For someone like me who doesn’t restring often, this string really drive me crazy on the court. I sincerely hope that the razor soft would provide the same/similar feel yet have better duration and tension maintenance.😢😢

I think it should…the machine used can also be a factor. You get strung on a crank machine or electronic? Cranks will string looser and less accurate and string feels dead quicker. A good electronic will be preferred 👍

Interesting you have just made this video as I am playtesting numerous racquets for a series I am to produce for my channel and one of these is Head Extreme Tour which is a decent racquet. Most of all though Razor Code is a string I recall being recommended by numerous players one which is a current atp pro and former top 5 junior of world. That is good to hear the Razor Code projects more on the ball. Would you say it 'grips' the ball more? Note- For your title the brand is 'Tecnifibre' without h.
@tennisviking
@tennisviking Год назад
The razor soft grip the ball a bit more and feels like it keeps the ball on the string bed longer, razor code launches it a bit more👍

Great review thank you!! I'm just switching racquets to the technifibre 298 Iga. I've been demoing it for 1 week and i'm falling love with it (previous blade 98 18 x20 v7). My racquet arrives on monday and i'm contemplating which strings to put in. I play currently with wilson duo hybrid at 51lbs which is the coaches recommendation. I like them but they're expensive. The demo has wilson NXT at 55lbs which they use on all demos. I play aggressive all court. I think I can always have more spin and power. would you suggest the soft or razor code as strings to try? or something else?

Thanks for the review...I was very curious about this string and plan to try it. I used to play with the Gravity Tour and found my favorite strings for it was RPM Blast at 48#. 2nd to that was Head Hawk Touch. I recently switched to the new Extreme Tour, which I call the Avocado. I tried RPM Blast at 52# and now I'm currently trying it with Head Hawk Touch, which I seem to like better. I'm planning to try Confidential with it next and Lynx Touch afterwards. BTW, after using the Razor Code Soft for a month, what's your opinion? Tension maintenance, playability, touch?
@tennisviking
@tennisviking Год назад
Gravity Tour with Hawk Touch is a very nice setup…we use the Hawk touch quite a bit and it’s a nice solid feeling string 👌👌 My go to racket is Xtreme tour as well, and I love the Hawk Power in it, and I always include a good shock absorber because of my aching joints here and there. The Razor Soft gives a bit more control than the others I’ve tried, Hawk power, Hawk touch, Luxilon alu power soft etc. The string tension maintenance on the razor soft is the best out of all of the strings under the soft category imo. The feeling in regards to the softness is medium, so not as soft feeling as the Hawk touch, or lynx Touch…and btw the lynx touch I like as a hybrid with pretty much any other string you like, we did lynx touch in mains and a little firmer string on crosses and that felt nice. Anyways, back to the razor soft 🤣🤣 very good string maintenance, very good control, not much power and medium comfort, Touch is decent as well.

How would you compare the spin potential this TF RAZOR SOFT to GRAPPLESNAKE TOUR SNIPER or to TOROLINE TORO TORO? What about compared to SOLINCO CONFIDENTIAL or GRAPPLESNAKE TOUR M8? What about overall playability?
@chriskim1348
@chriskim1348 Год назад
Have you tried Black Code 4S?? I usually use Confidential and I really liked the spin and the low power from 4S. I felt like the string tension lasts way longer than Confidential and more spin. The feel felt muted but it didn’t bother me too much. I would like to try Razor Code Soft as well. I would appreciate it if you could tell me the difference between them.

@tennisviking

I would say medium or average…it’s more of a muter control string, but if you have a more open string pattern in your racket (pure drive or Vcore pro for example, it would be perfect) if you have normal to denser string pattern, I would look into alu power soft, which has comfort and spin 👍
