This series on my home ground gives me life!! Ollie please keep up with the Macron jokes, it makes me forget the critical political situation we’re in. Gabie is so right when she says she hates fruit + chocolate combinations, the only one that gets a pass is pear + chocolate (it’s called Poire Belle Hélène for those who would not know about it) A few precisions: Mogador is a theater and lemon in French is citron. The powder on the chocolate covered raspberry macaron must have been piment d’Espelette from the Basque Country. It pairs well with the chocolate. Finally, it’s quite surprising you preferred Ladurée over Pierre Hermé as the first one is mostly known to be overpriced and overrated. Looking forward to the rest!

Since Gabie does not like anything flower flavoured, I suggest having her try gulab jamun which is an Indian delicacy. It is basically a fried dough ball with a rose based syrup better known as chashni. It was a desert which surely changed my life. I bet you she would like it!
