The YuHu doesn't come with extra color pieces, but you can order black or dark green for about $2 each. But SCS only carries black, so you'd have to hit up their competition for the green.
The reason for the dark green is probably that yj changed the shade of green that they use for the green that's next to white. At first it was lighter, but because it was too similar to the other green they made the sgade darker. I guess they sell the green parts to update your own shade of green, however the yuhu at scs already have the updated green, so there is no need to buy dark green pieces
woah, it's a megaminx video. The answer to the question in the title is most likely gonna be the dayan megaminx, some people also prefer the yuhu, but most like the dayan best, however the yuhu is definitely the best value option
Interesting that you've heard it this way. So far I've rather heard people say that they like the dayans smaller size, but of course opinions differ and some people like a smaller size while othe like a bigger one.
I was bouncing back and forth between the Dayan V2 M, Galaxy V2 M and GAN. GAN's $52 SALE price (yeah, that's when it's low...smh) and nuts that I'd never change out being baked into the price (why the 356 M lite is their best value at deep sale $20...no nuts, no added baked in cost). But it looks gorgeous and I am a fan of the 11 pro, 356 and their suped up Skewb and Pyraminx are by far the best. Only their 2x2's really suck. But $52 to find out if I like a puzzle (first megaminx buy)...no. make it $40 w/o the pointless bells and whistles and it'd bite. The Galaxy was simply kind of ugly and heavy to me based on the specs, but the WR was done on it, with the grip being great from reviews. But I didn't like the sculpted look Went with Dayan, because every time someone reviews it, they all go, "oh, yeah...this is gooooood." Nobody hates it. Its small and light, so a good "waiting at the airport" puzzle, but I would like to try a larger size, as I do not have small hands. But it is snappy, there's a lot of feedback, grips pretty well because of the cupping and has fantastic corner cutting with not a lot of corner twist. The ONLY downside is their color choice. There's white and off-white. Not brown, not mocha, not black, but off-white...maybe ivory. In the wrong lighting only the other color on the pieces would indicate what layer it is for, otherwise the colors are the same if the lighting isn't perfect. I dislike this greatly (WHO CHOSE THIS COLOR?), but everything else is so good it gets forgotten while solving in a groove. 9/10 would have been flawless with the right colors.
@@Pandemos the off-white (or how most people call it: cream) is actually just part of the standardized megaminx color scheme, so the galaxy and gan also have a beige side. If you don't like beige (which I don't either) you can buy seperate black pieces at scs (use code dragon). I'd recommend replacing grey with black and then beige with grey, because that way you don't have the problem with white and beige being similar, but at the same time you have black for LL which is great for OLL recognition. If you want to try out another megaminx I'd recommend the YJ Yuhu V2 M. (There are also black pieces for the yuhu available on scs) It's a great megaminx too. The dayan is smaller, lighter and faster whereas the yuhu is more controllable and has a better grip.
ngl, the galaxy v2m is my second favorite megaminx, other than the dayan v2. The yuhu v2m is too big for me, but if it was smaller, it would be my favorite megaminx
gan megaminx i started liking when i losen it up to the point that no pieces thouches themselves. then its just mangets snapping piece to piece. try it. now its so cool. DaYan Megaminx is bad compared to Gan Megaminx. I randomly push pieces i dont want to push.
Btw I couldn't make it to the premier, cause it was in the night or rather late in the evening for me. On other days, I might actually have stayed up, but I have a maths contest today, so I needed to get enough sleep
