Someone needs to tell her about light academia. It's the perfect marriage of dark academia and cottagecore. Gentle dresses and light turtlenecks, golden lockets and antique mirrors, flowers pressed between the pages of a field journal. Very nice :)
Cottage core works for her, especially the hair. The outfit was cute too. Maybe a little more natural makeup though. The dark academia gets the silver medal. I don't think the other two suited her.
I am inclined to believe that COTTAGE CORE suits like a glove to her. She just radiates happiness and sweetness all over the place and with that aesthetic she is just like a sunny spring day❤
“Kawaii aesthetic” doesn’t really have a set look or any rules. It means “cute” in Japanese, so the point of dressing kawaii is expressing yourself as cute as possible, in any way you see fit! Most people attribute kawaii to pastels, anime, hyper-femininity, etc. But it can actually be whatever you want.
okay there's like no chance that she would ever see this comment, but at the end when she said she couldn't choose between cottagecore and dark academia, princess/royalcore immediately popped into my mind! Seeing her with the flowing dress like cottegecore but keeping that minimal feel of dark academia, it's perfect.

We are never just one thing so we can have more than one style that represents ourselves. You could be a blend of dark academia and cottage core. Definitey do a part 2 of this please because there are several looks out there: Goth, punk, edgy, rock/rocker, biker, contemporary, Lolita, vintage/retro (10s, 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, 00s), preppy, pinup, glam/flamboyant, skater, boho/bohemian, girly, cowgirl, military, modest, etc.

Yes, like a series where each video has 3 or 4 different aesthetics that were popular in that decade. I find it funny how "60s" or "80s" is its own aesthetic nowadays.
She should do different aesthetics from different decades. Not a single decade had a single aesthetic that defines it. It would be really cool to see her do multiple aesthetics from the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s!
I loved dark academia on you. It’s the kind of style from romantic movies when the girl is in a coffee shop or book store and she’s self conscious but people fall in love with her when they see her. It suits you! But the cottage core you look like a Disney princess 🥺

I would love to see you try vintage, pinup, or rockabilly style! I just changed aesthetic and wardrobe to be vintage inspired, it’s been like 2 or 3 months, and the thing that people don’t tell you when you start dressing vintage: people are looking at you... like staring.... all. Lol part of what I love about dressing 'differently' than everyone's idea of 'normal' is *because people stare. Maybe I'm attention deprived, who knows lmao, but the stares and lingering glances just makes me want to rock it harder :) maybe it's because when I see someone who has the 'different' vibe I stare at them too (in admiration!) 😂😊

I lived through the 80's and you DEFINITELY look like some of people I would see on tv shows. BUT, you seemed to really come to life in the Cottagecore
As someone who was a child in the 80's (yes I'm probably old enough to be most of your moms... just turned 41, thank you 😊) you are almost right on point with that outfit. Except... the pants are too tight from the knees down. And they need to be tighter up top and go up higher on your waist. Think "mom jeans". You also should have white socks... it was always white socks. And blue eyeshadow. And your bangs are almost there. They just needed the 2nd layer... IYKYK ❤
