Her accent sounds really off at certain points... notice her r's and vowels. But then she sounds more native. It's weird. I'm not that convinced by this specific AI persona. I'd love to hear the others like Elisa's.

I've been using Your teacher Ai with the Elisa persona and I like it very much. The accent sounds perfect. I have been doing it with the option of using only French. I think the problem with accent in this video is that the IA is using both French and English so it confuses the accents.

I still get bothered by the fact it's reading french in english sometimes, or vice-versa. But it seems to have improved from 2 months ago

That’s partially because of my settings too, but it has improved I’ve noticed.

That accent is terrible. I'm considering using this for Turkish, but this reminds me of all the kids in my French class at school who didn't make any effort to learn an accent. A bit surprised, even Chat Gpt is better in this respect.

I'm sure they could round up a few native speakers of each language to build voice models from. That and a 'try before you buy' option would be all I'd need to try this out. The rest of the limitations I'd probably be prepared to live with for the price. @@josh.mountain

This great info to have. I’m considering buying but I really want to see it in action. I would say I’m about an A2 level in Mandarin Chinese but I need practice in both speaking and listening. What is your opinion on Teacher AI helping with that?

You should have heard her before they updated the voices 🫢 I remember them talking about fixing the way the instructors sound, I think it’s a constant process.
