Susan, sorry for your inconvenience. The security can not allowed you to take a video at the SCBD district is because purely security's reason. There was bombing back in 2009 at Ritz Carlton. Since then, security more tight. Before the bombing, perpetrator was mapped the district using a handy cam. So, to not allowed people to take a video is being a part of preemption act.

The no talking rule, I think is actually printed(?) as a sign on the windows. I noticed the rule and the sign too in the Transjakarta, which I actually highly appreciate since it can get as crowded as before the pandemic.

Personally speaking, the subway in Asia always like this. It’s always modern, clean and quiet. I think, Shanghai had the largest subway system. In comparison, Shanghai had 19 lines as for now while Jakarta only have 1. I really hope Jakarta build more lines cause I really like subway (and always using it wherever I travelled within East Asia and SE Asia). I watched the expansion of Shanghai metro from just 2 lines into 19 lines in span of 15 years. And is hopeful that Jakarta will have more lines 5-10 years in the future.

China's railway is unbeatable. For a population size similar to india's , it is way ahead of india. India's is outdated, old and dirty.

Jakarta MRT 2nd phase is under construction right now which is from Thamrin to Ancol (North Jakarta) and phase 3 is still on planning will be from Cikarang to Balaraja.

Perhaps you're interested in vlogging the car-free day on Saturday and Sunday in Jakarta? Before the pandemic, every Saturday and Sunday morning, cars except trans Jakarta buses are not allowed in protocol roads such as Sudirman and Thamrin streets in Jakarta. Many people will enjoy walking, cycling, running, etc. on those streets. Now, the authorities allowed us to enjoy the car free day

Susan, fijn dat jullie het leuk hebben gevonden met de mrt. Overigens Jakarta heeft hele mooie plekken die je waarschijnlijk nog niet hebt bezocht mbt oude gebouwen gedurende de Nederlands- Indië tijd. Woon zelf in het district Depok, zuiden van Jakarta en kom uit Alphen ad Rijn. Volg je video’s uiteraard. Succes met wat je gaat ondernemen.

Really wonder how you would rate the Commuter Line (used to be KRL)? It's similar to metro maybe? Got more area coverage than the MRT right now. Oh and in august we will also have an LRT, you should try it too then.

Awesome. I'll be going to Jakarta again in July and will be using the MRT between Istora and Bundaran Hl even though I'll be starting at Dukuh Atas to get to Istora first and then after going around SCBD, will go from Istora to Bundaran Hl and walk around there for a bit until the evening before going back to Dukuh Atas as I will need to get the train at BNI City Station to get to the airport

Hi there! actually all the subway in Asia is clean and there is a security who always walk and tell you the rules inside the train/subway/station and they always mention to don't talk to much or always wear mask it was really cleaned because there is someone who cleaned it after you get out and after the train was clean it was ready to go!!~

I use e-toll card for MRT as it can be used for other transportation other than MRT. While MRT card can only used for MRT and cannot be used for other transportation.

You can take the MRT not only with Peduli Lindungi aplication, but the other we can show vaccine letter to the staff on the MRT station... Yes, on the MRT trains it's like Commuter Trains Jabodetabek that we must quiet, not talking to each other... And, if I can suggest if you want to visiting other shopping center I think you can go to Pondok Indah Mall if you have never visited it... You can take MRT too until ASEAN station and then take Transjakarta bus from CSW skybridge... Tell to staff that you want to PIM or Pondok Indah Mall..

Hey this is from Indonesia here Soo, I wanna say that Bundaran HI MRT station is basically a terminus station for a train from Lebak Bulus Grab and the start station of Bundaran HI - Lebak Bulus Grab train. Soooo 2 tracks of the stations are pretty much on the same route (Bundaran HI - Lebak Bulus) Hope that help :)

I think its same like Subway in a big cities such as Seoul, London etc. But Subway in Jakarta just a short trip, Hopefully it will be a longer trip.

Yes, it is a part of the subway sistem in Jakarta. Including BRT (Bus Trans-Jakarta) and commuter line or KRL Jakarta. FYI, the second phase of MRT JKT is under construction.

You need to come back to indonesia after August, we have a new LRT that will take you to more places in Jakarta, and also our High speed rail hopefully will also open in September

Maybe you can try MRT Malaysia too. Phase 1 already completed in 2016. Phase 2 will open for public this week

Actually you can just use Flazz card from BCA bank or e-money from Mandiri bank to travel using MRT, KRL, or BRT. No need many card
