Definitely should try Jeff Ruby's Steakhouse you'll thank me later they are ranked as the best Steakhouse in America and someone of the best service you'll get at any restaurant.
@uaeats would like you to do Cote, which is hard to get into (but apparently amex platinum's concierge actually can help get reservation). I have not tried it, but its a michelin star korean BBQ place that people describe more as steak house meets korean BBQ. The 68$ butcher's feasst is one of the top recommended meals on r/FoodNYC subreddit.
Hi can you do a review of all the steakhouses you went to and give a suggestion for the best steakhouses in NYC? I will be visitng NYC next year and tried the Hawksmoor in London, it was one of the best steaks i had.
another great video! I swear for some reason, your videos are addicting! I think because youre a simple humble guy who just reviews not just famous eateries but luxurious dining and expensive steakhouses all for us to one day visit while we try to see if its the worth the budget. No show and fancy editing, but just being yourself who has a passion on visiting restaurants all over the world.
I'm a New Yorker and haven't tried Hawksmoor in the city yet, but their London Spitafields restaurant was fantastic. Definitely a cut above most NYC steakhouses and far less expensive. Keep up the great work and looking forward to your review of Hawksmoor in London.
We loved Hawksmoor! There are a bunch of comments on our video from people who are surprised we disagreed with you, so we're looking forward to seeing if things were any different this time around!
@@uaeats Oh really! I feel like we've gotten a lot of comments from people saying they didn't like it. Also I really hope you tried the Peanut Butter Louis, that thing was crazy
I’m glad I know how to cook. Jeez, $110 for a 20oz porterhouse? I can buy four of those bad boys and cook/enjoy for days. Glad you enjoyed your dine out!
Great review and safe travels to the UK! Would you ever consider going on a cruise and you could do multiple food reviews there? I think it would be right up your alley
Congrats on the free fries! On a totally unrelated note, I thought you would be interested to hear that Katz’s Deli & Veselka have teamed up on a limited-time creation: Pastrami Pierogis - I thought this might be up your alley!
A restaurant of this caliber serving Caesar in that small bowl is silly, unless it was chopped. Are you really expected to cut it with a knife and fork in that bowl?
Hey UA, I love your videos and have been a fan for a minute now,I am from Gloucester City NJ but live in the outskirts of Seattle now and hear how you talk about being from the South Jersey area and see you rocking the Eagles gear, whereabouts are your SJ roots? Ps keep up the great videos I love them and am rooting for your success
Great review. WHen are you in London? I am in the UK, and heading to NYC in June, My choice of steakhouise based on your reviews is now either Keanes or Hawksmoor. I did Lugers on my last trip. For Hawksmoor in London, there are many locations in Central London. I think it's a great eatling house, the cocktails are great too.
Wait, l thought after viewing the menu at Spark's we agreed no to sliced steak, but judging your reaction after the first bite..I'll reconsider 😂. Keep up the great work UA!
Great review! I’ve been to this place 4-5 times and the steak never blew me away, solid of course but I wouldn’t put It in my top 5 of steakhouses in NYC, maybe I have been ordering the wrong cut bc I usually go with a ribeye and not a tbone. The dining room itself is my fav in NYC and the service is great so my feelings about this place are mixed.
@@worldsgreatestimpressionis6462 Naw, ignorant is bitching about the prices of a fine dining steak house in NYC. 12 bucks for a salad is down right reasonable in that context
Even though you've visited before, I think some viewers didn't see you previous video. So, they would probably enjoy seeing a full menu walkthrough, even if you've already done that.
@uaeats I've been to Hawksmoor lots of times (been to the Seven Dials location in London too). Their best cut is the bone-in rib chop (NON grass-fed version). The porterhouse is good, but not as great as the very best places in NYC in my experience.
My favourite steakhouse in London is 'The Beast', it's from the same owner as 'Goodman'. Very different experience though. Goodman City (Old Jewry street) is my favourite branch and similar to Hawksmoor. Please also review Smith and Wollensky in London, the NYC one blew me away and the London branch never did.
UA, if you haven’t already been to London you should try a place called “Guinea Grill” lesser known than the others but I think it’s the best, see if you can try it 👍
I went to one of the London locations, I thought it was really good. Their Caesar salad was great (I didn't get anchovies on it) and it was huge. My brother got a ribeye and said it was really good. I think the bread here is different. The bread at the London one, I think, had a firmer crumb and almost reminded me of a ciabatta. I thought it was very good restaurant bread. They gave you really tiny drinks, though and their ice cream scoop was very small, so some of the stuff was overpriced for what you got. However, I liked the food.
When in London you MUST visit The Cut - 45 Park Lane. The 14oz ribeye with fries and spinach and egg to be tasted to be believed! Wolfgang Puck does it right at this place.
These prices AREN'T that BAD???? What planet are YOU on? The BEST PHILLY and CHEESE costs less than ONE DOLLAR per ounce..... (which is crazy if you're over 40 years old).... These CRAZY-ass priced meats are LITERALLY 5 to 6 dollars PER OUNCE..... Your just GIVING away your money!!!!!!
Was there a couple of months ago. The thing with a lot of these newer places is that they put loads of stuff on the burger and it takes away from the taste of the actual burger. Also, they are smashed so only cooked one way. Nice setup just like Hamburger America. Very so-so burger. 2.5/5 for me!
Not being a smartass, but UA recently said he quit his job because youtube finally yielded enough compensation... he eats at these inflated restaurants, and is now headed overseas. No offense, I wish he had more subs, but does 50k actually fund a living??? If so, I need to switch career paths.
I'm pretty forgiving when it comes to steaks (most are good enough for me), but I do know that I don't like them cut up in the kitchen before being brought to the table. Don't they lose their heat faster if cut into small pieces?
When Joe Rogan had Elon Musk on his show they ordered a double anchovy double pineapple pizza maybe you can do a review of that one day just make sure you explain the backstory
If you are a steak lover and decide to go fancy steakhouse, these fattier cuts are a no brainer. That rump steak from the first episode looks like an instant regret lol. Actually surprised with the lack of sear on that porter house. Glad it turned out great !
Went to the one in Seven Dials in London a few years ago and it was so bad we complained, had another steak cooked, and that was 50% fat so they'd chosen that specifically for us, complained again and got it comped. My mate may have mentioned he worked for Google, and it was fortunate he was out with friends. They told us they'd comp a future meal to make it up to us. Went back months later and they ruined that £100+ steak too. Came to the conclusion that they can't cook steak, as they couldn't manage it on 3 occasions, and people are easily pleased by low standards. So pleased that it's now international.
UA: I ate at Hawkmoor in London some years ago & at the NYC loction about 5 years ago! To be candid, I was not overly impressed with either location. You know my favorites in NY C are Keens &;Quality mests. In London, for me it's The Quality Steak House.! Don’t forget to order the potato confit😅
Hawksmoor in London and Manchester were great. Try the bone marrow, goes great with bread. Not super tasty, but the fatty texture is quite an experience, for sharing, may be too much fat for one person as an appetizer.
What happened to the old timey piano music, think it's been gone on the past couple of videos, miss that. I hear the new softer mellow background tone.
Hey U.A. Eatery, what is the most RECENT update on issues with "Mad Cow" syndrome with the cattle in England ?!? 🔜. 🥩. 🤯. BTW - Is it phriggin' "out of bounds" OR "Off The Hook" ?!? May we strenuously suggest the latter fella' ?!? 🤔
anchovies on pizza: I guess because they are expensive, places usually don't pile them on. But on the positive side, a little goes a long way, in terms of taste, probably because of the saltiness. I like them.
