That’s anchovies. It’s cafe price. You can get the nasi lemak at roadside for rm1 in remote areas but in KL normal smaller portion wrapped like a pyramid pack for rm1.50-rm3 range.

Oh that’s great to know! I’ll have to the ones from the roadside. I would definitely be interested to see and try one! 😍 thank you for the information!

Bro if you want to try Malay dishes like nasi lemak nasi kerabu satay etc it's better for you try some in Malay eateries.. not only authentic, delicious and also reasonable price.. you can find them many in Kampong Baru, Keramat, Tangling and Jalan TAR-Masjid India etc.. Due to Ramadhan they're open at about 4pm otherwise it'll be available in the morning..

Roadside coffee shop will add on the spice, but if you're at a swanky eatery or hotel and you order nasi lemak, the rice more enriched and the spice will be a little less. And... welcome to Malaysia ❤

You should have gone to the Village Park nasi lemak which is more palletteable to foreign tastes that can't handle spicy food. Their fried chicken is the most popular.

D nasi lemak looked good, simple as it should be. Nasi lemak is a Malay comfort food, but in Malaysia, all d other races, Chinese, Indian like it too, n many Malaysian Chinese cafes n Indian restaurants sell nasi lemak. 😀

You can always avoid the sambal if you can't handle spicy foods 😅 Eventho I'm a Malaysian I only put a drop or two of sambal if the sambal is super hot coz idk I don't really like spicy food . But if the sambal isn't spicy , I'll just mix the whole thing .
@kierantravels
@kierantravels Год назад
Yes that’s very true 😅 im definitely going to try it again with less sambal! Looking forward to my next Nasi Lemak 🙈

OMG... you should checkout some of the other nasi lemak eating video first.. that join look terrible.. too expensive.. you are paying for their trendy vibe.. should have gone to Kampong Baru ''Wan JO''.. nasi lemak.. Nasi lemak is basically rice cooked in coconut milk plus.. and other side dishes..

actually, i think the nasi lemak in ali muthu and ah hock is pretty decent. Not the best, but IMO not bad at all. And for it being more of a restaurant styled place, RM6 is also an acceptable price. For sure u will get cheaper and better ones if you look for it, but for a start its a good introduction to nasi lemak.
