This is my first attempt at shooting film at night. I knew it was something I was avoiding for the longest, and had to face, in order to leave my comfort zone! Digital is so easy, film....not as much. I learned a few things, and will definitely try again! Let me know what you think!

800T is great fun at night, but I also have had quite a few underexposed shots. I think the high contrast can fool meters easily

Defiantly!

Yea you’re right for sure! Definitely going to try spot metering next time, instead of whole scene

Nice shots. It's going to be difficult to meter for those high-contrast shots with an old camera that only has centre-averaged metering. Ideally, you either need a spot meter or you need to turn up slightly earlier, when there's still some daylight present and the scenes have lower contrast. Keep up the good work!

Thanks! I was using an app to meter, as you can’t see the internal meter at night

I most certainly wouldn't trust a reading of 1/5 of a second in that light using any high rated ISO film!! You are defiantly looking into exposures of multiple seconds on a night shoot like this! Don't take a reading fore the whole scene, take a reading for the darker side of the image..... Then you'll have to look into the reciprocity failure of the film and expose more for that to get a balanced photo.

Yep for sure. Lesson learned!
