This was quite fun and the running attacks and double-poke R2s really improve the pace of the weapon despite its "slow" moveset. I think heavy thrusting sword do better without shields mostly because of the slow guard counters. My practice with the Royal Knight's Resolve on the Zwei really helped with how I managed the casts of Black Flame Blade. Old Lord's Talisman isn't mandatory but it's good to have as a quality-of-life addition. While it only adds three seconds, that jump from seven to ten seconds saves FP and lets you extend the cast long enough to get just one hit in. Since you only need to land BFB once for the lifedrain to proc, I used Repeating Thrust to increase how often I can land my hits in case Malenia deflects an attack.
