Trying Out Home-made Dehydrated Food In The Camper.
Welcome to my 51st birthday bash - and what better way to celebrate than with a thrilling haunted pub crawl through the ancient and spooky streets of York! 🏰👻 I've got a night full of eerie tales and strange goings-on in some of the oldest and most haunted pubs in town. But that's not all! I'm also trying out my very first dehydrated meal - a breakfast burrito - perfect for all you camping enthusiasts out there.
Some of the stops on Our Haunted Pub Crawl:
1. The Black Swan:
Our first stop is the historic Black Swan. This pub dates back to the 15th century and is renowned for its ghostly residents. Locals often speak of the spectral figure of a man dressed in a long black cloak who appears at the foot of the stairs. Some say he's the spirit of a former landlord who met a mysterious end. And if that doesn't send shivers down your spine, there's also the ghostly lady in a long white dress who roams the upstairs rooms. Will we encounter these eerie apparitions tonight? 👀
2. The Golden Fleece:
Next, we head to The Golden Fleece, arguably the most haunted pub in York. This place has been around since 1503 and has a long history of paranormal activity. It's said to be haunted by up to 15 different spirits, including the ghost of Lady Alice Peckett, the wife of a former owner. Guests have reported hearing footsteps in empty rooms, seeing objects move on their own, and even feeling an invisible presence brush past them. Brace yourself - things are about to get spooky! 👻
3. The Blue Bell:
Another is the smallest pub in York, The Blue Bell, a quaint pub with a big paranormal reputation. Built in 1798, The Blue Bell is famous for its Edwardian décor and its resident ghosts. Regulars speak of a mysterious figure who appears at the bar and then vanishes into thin air. Others have experienced cold spots and eerie sensations in certain parts of the pub. We'll be on high alert for any ghostly encounters as we enjoy our last drink of the night. 🍺👻
