I actually tried that bay horse a year ago and almost bought him but didn't because of some medical complications. He is honestly such a lovely boy I loved riding him.
I have a feeling you got the bay since you loved him a year ago but I think the gray would be a better choice. His jump looked a little better, he’s younger and slightly spicier. He’d make you a better rider in the long run.
I’d be interested to see what the vet check of the first horse says. Something looks off with how he moves. Especially the canter, looks almost 4 beat. I wonder if he has some sort of issue with his leg, or just poor saddle fit. Nice video I love the gray horse. If you got the bay horse, and there were no medical issues, I’d love to see how he moves with a saddle fitted differently
not sure if its just their riding style or what but it definitely looks stiff/not forward but still not lazy and relaxed, i think its movements look weird too.
I think you should go for second one, because its more of a challange and he with teach you a lot! Aslo he's younger! But i think you'll go for the first one!! 😊
You are a very nice rider and you did a great job. I personally liked the first one better...I think the spooking of the second horse would be annoying after a while. Best of luck.
Why? If it's a personal opinion then say so. But if it's something wrong with the horse such as medical issues then it should be disclosed no matter what. If it's not an honest seller I would definitely appreciate a heads up from someone ahead of time.
No hate but it doesn't really look like you are ready to jump that high yet. i know it was your first time trying these horses but still. You do look great tho!
Those instructors know me well and I have never had horses who have been able to jump that hight so of course I looked a bit off balance. It all will come with practice. :)
