This is so cool! Though, to whoever wants to do this- if you live in a hot area or your home gets pretty hot without AC be advised the adhesive might come off. I've only used those command strips for my very small (6inx6in) picture frames and they've stayed on. Oh! Highly recommend using a smart lightbulb so you don't have to use a control (link it to your phone/alexa).

Where did you find that base blade? Does it come with the shade and cord??Or did you buy it separately??

No frkgn way! You didn't even get them to work and they were already meant to be used like that? I'm making the same and trying to find the best way to get a dimming light switch, and the electrical unit correct, the right pieces to get them all together! Yesterday I had a dimming cord and a chain that's all and paid $22. I found 3 d sizes of the same round plastic thing, 3 electrical sockets, 2 big strong lights, another long one, but neither were sticky, but did get a roll of these. I have no light in my bedroom. I bought 4 bottles of white glue, 2 boxes of Plaster of Paris, Modge Podge, the paint kind and spray! I better get some $ back for what I didn't use! Next time, Amazon!
