As in the title, I'm trying out some new equipment. I end up talking about my parents, who have now both passed, and the fact that I couldn't go and see dad because of the Covid virus. I really hope that it will bring some comfort to anyone who has been in the similar situation. Love to you all.

Just came across your video I have a Trangia 27 great wee stove but always fancied one of these military ones .what a lovely tribute to your Mum and Dad..It's hard when we lose our parents hope things are good for you and your still getting outdoors. Best of luck from Ireland 👍

@markopolo thanks ever so much for your kind words. I’m turning 60 this summer, so I’m not quite as enthusiastic as I once was 😂. I’ve promised to take my granddaughters boyfriend out, so I will be planning a camp for two. It should be fun, as we’re talking about someone who sleeps with a light on 🙄. Thanks for the sub 👍🇮🇪🫶

Very relaxing to watch your video, my dad went in to have bladder removed during covid for cancer but didn't survive the op. It's good to get out into nature to clear your head.

Just came across you and your video. Being of a certain age I lost both my parents recently, Father first and Mother whilst in lockdown and I can appreciate your feelings. Great video and you have a new subscriber. All the best, Broadlander

Hi Phil, I never saw this upload when it appeared - I'm here now because I was going through old comments and saw you. People just slip away don't they? I do hope you're well and life is treating you kindly. That's a nice little stove set up - vintage I would say. Cooks a nice chili and rice. Thanks for sharing your story about your dad and mum. I can see him walking and loving life and your mum enthused over the Rugby. Great memories. I do of course still remember my twin Paul every single day. We will until it is our turn. Hello, Mark, is so nice to hear from you. I’m no longer a care worker and now provide people with internet into their home, which means I have far less time than I used to. My intention is to retire later this year, so hopefully I’ll get back in to my walking, camping and cycling. So yes, people really do just slip away. I’m sure I’ve said in previous vids that it’s thanks to both my parents for getting me interested in the hills. As you say, our loved ones will always be in our hearts. I will catch up on your videos soon. I love my latest pot, as I do all of my trangias 🤣 Atb, mate. Phil 👍

@@wildphil64 Hey there Phil, things have moved on for you then? That's good in a way. Hopefully your retirement plans can come into fruition and you can spend more time resonating with the nature. Oh yeah, things to slip out of our minds yet if we love enough we remain mindful of those now gone. And any way sometimes we have no choice they're there no matter what. Good to hear of the pot.
