In this video I talk about my Swedish Army LK70 rucksack. It's an external frame rucksack that has stood the test of time and is really comfortable to carry fully loaded. I often wonder why rucksack manufacturers abandoned the external frame, as it's so versatile. I also use my TJM metalworks grill/hotplate to do some more cooking over the fire.

Now here's someone who really knows how to make feathersticks. A rare sight these days. Good vid, friend, and greetings to Cymru!

Make sure when you read to stick your nose in the crease and SMELL the pages of your lovely book !! Agreed, I'll fall asleep soon as well -- well, likely but not assured -- but it's the point of the thing. There's something to lying there and drifting into the voice of the book that's so relaxing.

That bacon roll looked well good, all it needed was a few slices of fresh tomato👍

9:57 “I don’t want too many” “Just a couple” he says! By ‘eck man, that’s enough to feed an army!😮🤣😂. I’ve got the same LK70, got mine off Tradera, a Swedish eBay type site. Like yours, not used before. I should use it more myself but I seem to have got a bit of a collecting bug when it come to Scandinavian military back packs, I have the whole range.😂🤷‍♂️ plus a rather beautiful Swiss “salt and pepper” one that is actually part nettle fibres which gives it its green and white speckled appearance. I’ve just invested in TJ Metal Works mini fire anchor and the pocket fire anchor, beautiful kit, can’t wait to get out and try them, I got the rounded pan holder attachment on my mini one, but I think I’ll get the grill arm as well. Rather fancy the mini spit roast as well sometime- they really do make some beautiful kit!

Used by the Swedish army rangers. Used in -70-80 - build like a tank. Heavy 3.8 kg. Best regards 🇸🇪😊

I do agree with you, Scott, re. external frame rucksacks. I once had a Fjallraven 'Gyro' rucksack. It was SO comfortable, fully loaded: the burden carried on the hips rather than the shoulders. Sadly, it went 'missing' when we moved house in 2002. Fjallraven discontinued the Gyro many years ago, but they still offer a Fire Brigade pack frame. I've not tried it or seen one 'in the flesh' and it's rather pricey. The Tatonka 'Lastenkraxe' pack frame looks pretty good. Tatonka does a separate pack to go with it.

Yes, the lastenkraxe frame looks good and I've heard good reports about it. Not cheap though.

Sorry, no I don’t. The original owner wanted it back so it’s gone. It’s an awesome pack, that’s surprisingly comfortable with a heavy load.
