About the 165 Hz to 200Hz Monitor question: Your monitors refresh rate (measured in Hertz) is the amount of images the screen can create per second. e.g. A 165Hz Monitor can show UP TO 165 images per second. How many are actually shown depends on the Fps of the media you are watching. So if you LoL runs at 120 fps for you, your screen will show you those 120 frames per second. It doesnt matter if your monitor has a upper limit of 144Hz or 200Hz, if only 120 frames are generated only 120 will be shown. So, TL;DR Going for a monitor with higher refresh rate is only worth considering if your PC has the necessary power to generate those additional frames.

60 to 144 hz is a big difference. 144 to 200 is a difference but not significant enough to warrant paying for

About your hertz monitor question (Software Dev Graduate): In your case it would make 0 difference as Hertz is the refreshing rate of your monitor. In this game (showing on the top right corner) your frames (frame per second) was 150-160. That means you computer made it's calculations and refreshed the game state 150-160 times every second. If you were to get a monitor capable of 240 Hertz, it would still only show 150-160 frames for you as that's all your computer can send into the monitor. Furthermore, I think that's just overkill. The human brain and eyes recognise 24 frames per second as a moving picture. Some TV channels still only broadcast in 24FPS and they look absolutely fine. The older consoles (XBOX 360 and PS3) were running on 30FPS and looked absolutely fine. In my opinion, we really don't need anything above 60 or maybe 120 FPS - there is little to no difference if you go higher. P.S.: The only place were it matters is games with realistic physics. For example, BeamNG and Assetto Corsa (car simulations) 400-500 times per second at least - but just the physics part, the actual FPS is as above

For the monitor question: 60 -> 144 Hz is nice, but non-gamers wouldn't even notice imo. Anything thats above 144Hz you are not gonna see at all lol, if somebody says they do theyre cappin

since you are playing with 140 fps you dont need more then 160 hrz, also for league its not that important. If you start playing ego shooters, then it would make a difference, even tho 160 is alot
