After the initial hype of the show, I saw lots of people online trying the Honeycomb Candy Challenge! What exactly is it, and how does someone make one? Let's do it! Mixing kid games with life or death consequences has flipped the world on its head! If you’re familiar with the Squid Game series… the Honeycomb Challenge is Game #2 in episode 3. This game is traditionally a children’s game with the goal of successfully breaking a candy honeycomb into a pre-scored shape… without the shape itself breaking. The sugar candy, which becomes a little foamy after adding baking soda to the caramelized sugar becomes VERY brittle when it hardens, so you really have to be careful!
LET ME TELL YOU! Doing this challenge is easier said than done, and even harder than the game itself was trying to portray. So difficult! Mad respect for the old guy, Player 001, who made these while sitting on the playground in the show. I think it’s safe to say I wouldn’t last long if the show were a reality for me.
