Ikr, if smth is not to her liking she doesn't just say that its not good in a rude way, she tells it so politely, but this channel called sosaute completely has no respect for food.
@@PintoPericoyeah I can tell that just from this short video. I understand and get high end retailers but this is just capitalism for capitalism sake. Prices have to be high or it won’t sale, it’s more about status and less about the product itself.
My father taught me that when picking our fruit you pick from the back because that’s where the newer fruit is, while the front will be the older fruit so they can sell them before they go bad
I was taught the same thing, but also, if you are picking fruit you plan on eating the same day, pick from the middle since it's surrounded by fruit & will most likely be ripe & ready to eat 😉 NEVER grab the fruit infront because not only is it going bad, but most people probably touched it with their dirty grimy hands 😬
so people like you are the reason all the fruit is moldy at the grocery store. if you're constantly grabbing from the back then nothing gets sold on time and food waste increases, maybe dont be selfish next time you're at the store
Yeah, but I work at an actual grocery store and let me tell you what's going on these days. we are so short staffed since covid that folks are not even rotating products. No one is checking dates anymore and throwing out spoiled product.Period I work at a major grocery store. So good luck with finding the freshest stuff in the back.
I live in LA. These wanna be rich folks and influencers are hyping it up as part of a status symbol not because any of the crap is good. They aren’t to be taken seriously.
I think these are the lowest scores I've ever seen on your channel yet you were still so nice In your descriptions of the items 😂😂 Absolutely love your channel ❤️
these businesses are scamming ppl so she has every right to put them to the ground. like let’s be honest with ourselves those prices for that food is ridiculous and deserves to be shut down so a mom and pop shop can flourish instead of these greedy pigs getting their paws on everything
If Karissa rates you this low, we know this has been the worst experience for her. Those prices were HORRIBLE.. the fruit salad looked like everything was days old. 112 bucks for items that are recycled.. I love how she kept it professional and gave them grace.
More expensive is not always better. I learned that the hard way struggling not having money for makeup which I loved. I started buying cheaper stuff and omg my face hasn’t been healthier. Has been glowing much more and less dry too. Please guys do what’s best for you ! 💛🙏
the bottle is 750 ml which comes out to 0.2 gallons which means 5 of those bottles would equal a gallon, so not even a gallon of water, not even close 😭
I tried one when I visited my sister over the summer, and it was good, yes. But, honestly, it was just good. I don’t think it was good enough to justify the the cost. When we could have made one, or gotten them cheaper elsewhere. In my opinion; it wasn’t $18 dollars good.
You're supposed to add seamoss to something like a smoothie or juice. In the Caribbean, its used to thicken milkshakes, sometimes. It takes on the flavor of whatever you add it to.
@BigTeedo-fp5hv raw seamoss cost about $12-$20/lb. If someone is paying $50 for seamoss,I have a bridge that connects Manhattan to Brooklyn for sale...
@BigTeedo-fp5hvfacts, OP gay just for knowing that shit. Lookin like mushed up smurf in a jar.. he probably eats cob webs and swamp muck for the health benefits too 🤭🤢
:o I've never seen Karissa say ANYTHING negative about food before and even negatively she still is SO sweet that i don't even care. in fact i just appreciate the honesty!
@brent829 well yeah no one wants to watch a grouch with no personality and a frown on their face review stuff, I don't know what your comment is supposed to prove lol
Irish Sea Moss aka carrageenan: an everyday food additive used to thicken dairy products. A few years ago some crunchy moms raised a panic about it (for no reason except they didn’t know what it was) and some brands even replaced it with other thickeners. Wild that they’re selling it now as a boutique food item.
These kinds of videos are actually helping me with figuring out what kind of prices are reasonable in US (which is really difficult for me, coming from a country with a currency as worthless as a single sheet of toilet paper) so thanks!
Serving high-cost organic “super” food in single-use plastics is the biggest indicator for me that the people who started Erewhon were just having a laugh and it went to far
The best pear I've ever had in my life, and I've eaten MANY pears, was from a farmer selling the picks of the day on the side of the road around St Tropez, France. We literally pulled over to a dusty parking lot where this guy had a stand. Soft, sweet, juicy, flavourful, I fell in love with pears that day but never again had anything like it. It was cheap too, never found out how much but it was really incredible.
I once worked in a country club kitchen for a summer job. Almost everything on the menu was regular food with ingredients you could find at any regular grocery store but sold at a massively inflated price. The kitchen and wait staff were paid minimum wage though.
I'll tell you what, Sephora ain't making remotely close to that kind of profit margin. 30 bucks for a fried potato and a burger the size of a cookie?! Plz
So Sea Moss typically has no taste to it (When made correctly, lol). Think of it as the consistency to Applesauce. The health benefits are real and one of the things you could do is combine with different fruits to give it most flavor. Not sure about this store but look up Sea Moss Jam.
@@engnder I've had some pretty good sea moss and rep it, but her channel is based on tasting things- not the health benefits. In the context of her channel ( and me finding good sea moss for cheaper anyways ) the scoring makes sense.
Processing sea moss until it is beyond recognizable and edible is unbelievable..Just prepare sea moss or Eucheuma like Asian seaweed salad (think Japanese watami or Korean miyeok muchim) would be delicious..
@remmyfatal sea moss isn't about the flavor and she rates everything based on flavor. It would make more sense to rate something that's prepared to taste. Love her content regardless and I'm never setting foot in that store ever anyway, lacking in flavor and expensive. No thanks 🤣
FYI - tap water shouldn't taste like dirty sink water. I know it sounds crazy, but many people still living today, including me, were raised on tap water.
@R9 I guess it depends on where you live in the US. Here in this part of South FL, I've only known water that's hard even when it's soft. Here, hard water is iron and sulphur from the deepest well you can dig in a place slightly below sea level with lots of shale and limestone not far down (so not that deep,) while soft water is calcium and arsenic from the county. Straight up, city tap water here has such high calcium content that you can almost feel your skin drying out on contact. The rotten egg water from a local well is better in the department, and that burns my eyes in the shower. It goes through all of this treatment and processing, but you still need a GOOD softener to have truly soft water. Otherwise, it mostly tastes like chalk, and nukes hair and skin. Decimates appliances. Not much you can do without spending 10k plus on hardware that requires upkeep and adjustments. And when it doesn't taste like chalk, it tastes like chlorine. Whenever they purge the hydrants, they follow with a treatment. I'll never forget the first year I lived in this part of FL. I smelled a moderate bleach odor and thought my GF was cleaning the bathroom - she was just running the shower! It feels like twice a month, the water stinks of chlorine. Now, go to north central FL and there are creeks clean enough to drink from, and the water from the ground is miles better. Where I live now, it's impossible to find a tap with halfway palatable water. And again... I also know that margins for arsenic in our tap water are actual orders of magnitude higher than ANY science shows to be remotely safe... and that there's lots of arsenic in the ground here.
No matter how rich I was I would still be embarrassed to spend that kind of money on grocery stuff lol! But thanks for always trying things out for us girl I really do enjoy it lol😍🙌🏾
In Colombia we eat mangoes when they’re ripe and when they’re jot ripe too, add a little bit of lime juice, salta and pepper to un ripe mango and voilà 🥭
Yeah Sea moss doesn’t have flavor but it helps with you immune system so you can take it when you feel/ when you are sick. You can mix it with soft foods like apple sauce, drinks like tea or coffee, or get a spoon, scoop it and eat it straight out the jar (just one scoop if you do though)♥️
we make irish moss "tea" when ill. it's super bitter, but it actually helps your immune system. i take it fast and drink sweetened tea right after, like shots. never heard of gels or other things with it. and if it's nasty it's easier to just drink and be done with this shi
@@user-gn8eb4ii9pI am 99% sure this is satirical, but Erewhon is delusional enough to sell stuff at that price, so I wouldn’t be surprised if they are willing to go this far to become a RU-vid comment mole
@@user-gn8eb4ii9p😂😂😂 ever hear of freedom of speech? Yeah this country has a law for it. Your not getting anyone in legal trouble for talking about this. And the fact that you even made this comment tells me your a child who doesnt know how crap works and is trying to scare other young people who dont know better. Because you have nothing better to do. My attorney will let me know if I hear from you though 😂
FYI. Fruit cups are fruits that are already rotten. If they have a completely rotten watermelon. Yet that watermelon has one good bite. They’ll cut out the good bite. Put it in your cup and charge you more for the labor. The same for fruit tarts and cakes. They’ll scrap of the fruit and replace it on the same cake or tart.
@@palee8928 you know how many illegal things out there that businesses have no issue telling their workers to do under the implied threat of firing? A lot. A whole lot.
California charges 10 cents every plastic bag you buy, it recently went into effect to try to combat the amount of plastic waste going into our landfills and promote reusing them instead. I honestly don’t think that policy is doing anything but ripping people off, but, that’s just my opinion.
@@XxElJefe but who do you think this store is actually for? I guarantee you their audience is not solely influencers. it's for the upper class and that attracts influencers as a side effect
People need to realize when it comes to many things like this the cost is either because do the process of acquiring the item or because you’re paying for the brand. Just because it’s more expensive doesn’t mean it’s better in some way. It could simply mean it was hard to acquire or you’re being uncharged simply because of the person responsible for supplying it
