if you have combination blow active it reduces your damage because of a special interaction where it both overrides synthoceps and doesn't stack grapple melee damage at all, you could easily kill with that setup if you didn't get stacks

also if u have a shotgun w graverobber i believe it will reload if u kill something with ur melee via the damage transfer of thetheer
