If it stays purple, you’d pee is neutral pH. If it turns blue or green, your pee is basic, and if it turns pink, your pee is acidic. This indicates you need to drink MORE WATER and nothing else. No known or scientific correlation between urine pH and gender of child. How would it even correlate? Love, a chemistry teacher.
Not trying to be rude but im doing chemistry in science and purple usually means it's a pH of 14 (an alkali) and neutral Is the colour green (with a pH of 7) also I'm saying this in the nicest way possible so please don't take this in a rude way.
the reason the cabbage water would change color is because it’s a fantastic ph indicator. It doesn’t change color according to the gender of your child, it changes color according to the ph of your urine.
@hbegamingyt2779no, they said the liquid can tell if you're pregnant or not. Which is not the case, because it doesn't react to hcg (heavily released hormone during pregnancy)
@HBegaming YT noooooo. 😅 Hcg is the hormone released when someone is pregnant; pH is merely how acidic or basic a liquid is. You can't detect hcg in with cabbage; therefore you can't use it to detect pregnancy. The OP said you _can_ detect pregnancy with it. Ya'll really need to go back to school. I learnt this stuff back in grade 6.
It is less of what the water actually turned into than how you eye interprets the color. People can see red, others can see purple because their eyes interpret it differently.
It's correct. When you are 20 years of age, you are in your 21st year of life as you already complete 20. If you are 30+ weeks pregnant you are in your 31st week.
Actually this accured because urine is a sour fluid and when you put redcabbage juice together with a sour fluid the mixture will turn red . (Sorry for my poor english)
@Zoe Xu no one rounds gestation 😂 If you’re 31 weeks, you would not write “30” - the baby has grown heaps within that one week. Majority of what she said in the narration does not even match up with the video.
When purple cabbage is boiled, it’s juice has a chemical called anthocyanin and it can be used to indicate pH levels. Peeing in a cup and adding this natural pH indicator will tell the pH of the urine. Always makes it a fun home experiment to anything. 🤓
Explanation: The red cabbage can be used as a homemade indicator to check wether a liquid is alkaline or acidic. Normal human urine would be slightly acidic and when your pregnant it would be slightly alkaline.
