I'm a Brazilian curly girl, talking to you directly from Rio, and this blue one is my favorite day to day, affordable leave in cream. It's a bless for my hair and my pockets. but it won't do much if you need extra care, if your hair has some specific issue that needs care. this one is just a maintenence, easy to wear daily, really good basic product ❤
1. Wet it 2. Condition and detangle 3. BRAID Or TWIST YOUR HAIR, TIE THE ENDS. 4. Rinse 80-90% of the conditioner out while your hair is still braided/twisted 5. Wrap in a scarf and let dry overnight This will give you the result without weighing your hair down or building up product on your scalp.
@@giupinkfairy it depends on your hair type and how you do it :) my hair, which are 3c curls, I dry until damp and then wrap in a satin scarf and go to sleep. And my hair has never been damaged or suffered breakage due to the fact. But with straighter hair types and without a scarf, it can be damaging. A lot of things are determined by your hair type, which is why no hair advice is a one size fits all.
@@giupinkfairy Common sense suggests that someone isn't going to go to bed with soaking wet hair. Even if you used my routine suggestion, your hair shouldn't be soaked by the time you get to bed. If you're in any 3 or 4 hair types, you're going to need more moisture retention than someone with 1 and 2 types. As someone who hasn't seen their natural hair color in 16 years , 3c hair, this method retains moisture and it defines curls. The tighter the curl, the more water and moisture your hair will absorb. Maybe that's why so many women didn't know they had waves/curls until 7 years ago, shampoo is a surfactant and removes that moisture and conditioner replenishes that moisture and closes the hair follicle.
😂 if a curly person let their hair dry overnight, its going to be a huge mess in the morning lol and i am quite experienced in that field. Its better to do the hair in the morning and let dry over the day.
During the pandemic my hair started transitioning from straight to wavy, for no reason, and I started seeing all these latinas curly ladies use skala. Been a game changer ever since. That whole thing is 1 kg and you can use it as a pre mask, leave in, etc. And the tiny ones usually have heat protectant. My hair just absorbs the whole thing like water. And to not make it so heavy, I mix it with water and their gelatina. And there's also the fact they smell amazing and even fill my room with perfume (lol) but it's not overpowering when you dry it
@@goodestgirlit doesn't damage anything. It's safe for use. I use it for years and my hair is super healthy. But if you gonna use heat, use a protector along with skala
@@goodestgirl I've used it for 4 years and my hair started to get super dry. I research it and found out it can lead your hair to be hydrophobic. I changed for another leave-in product and my hair started to get better. I miss Skala though, it's really cheap in Brazil and the banana one let my hair very pretty
Brazilian here that used to use Skala every single damn day. Given, I didn’t know how to take care of my curls at the time because I was a child. Therefore, I didn’t take care of my hair; my mom and other aunties took care of my hair. Everything was Skala; the shampoo, the conditioner, the live in, the mask. It eventually destroyed my hair. It was Freezy, damaged, Light ( I had thick curls). My hair was never the same. Only nowadays I got some curls that I had before because I cut good part of my hair off about 4 years ago and have been keeping it short ever since.
I love that brush. I’ve tried other detangling brushes but I always default to this one cuz it’s so good. I’ve got a few detangling brushes lying around that have been used like 1-2 times that will most likely not be used much in the future. This one is so good
Is it expensive for u guys??? I'm Brazilian and that's like a cheap brand here but it's famous bc it's cheap and veeery good! Ur hair looks amazing by the way
Yes omg I love this! My mom bought it for me like a year ago and my hair loves it, my hair loves it and it brings my curls out! I really hope it stays cheap bc I can't afford to buy any curly hair products that cost a lot 😭🙏
If there's one product that never fails in curly hair is skala, it's actually very cheep here in Brazil but i use even since i was little and my curls are always hydrated and smealing good. For us poor people a.k.a almost all brazilians this brand is THE GOAT. Of course there will be misses but for the most part it really works well
Joh I hope the price doesn't go up if this becomes a trend 😭. It SAVED my curls & its R95 at cosmetic connection, tho I'm so happy others are finding this miracle in a pot 🙏
I started watching the video without sound and I thought you were Brazilian too! You look like so many of my friends from Rio 🫰🏼 Love the hair 😍 If you can,you should try Lola products. Is also a Brazilian haircare brand and its really good. The "dream cream" is my favourite
As brazilian curly girl...skala it's a ok brand. But it's a lots of anothers betters brands. The curlys brands in Brazil are surreal. Just give a try to them.
It's literally all i use, it replaces shampoo, conditioner, and no rinse creams. Btw, the day i found out that 90% of curly girls can't use shampoo bc it unbalances the oil production in our scalp and dries the ends of our hair, it was life changing. I usually thought the conditioners were bad, but I found the shampoos were bad and once I got rid of them completely, after a greasy adaptation period, my hair has never been greasy again and thanks to this, I save a lot of money with shampoo 😊😊😊 Bc here 🇧🇷 Skala is very very cheap lol Tip, skala has 1000 different varieties for ALL kinds of hair, so you might wanna try a few before you find the one for you! My hair is very very thin and dry, so for me the Maionese Skala one is the bestest
Skala is one of the cheapest and low quality brands in Brazil. I’m surprise to see they’re hitting the international market. Good for them and hopefully the quality increased.
I have a question, is there alcohol in it? i have quite the fragile and thin hair and for years didn't know how to take care of my curls. It's been about 6 months since I started doing my best to help my curls curling, however I learned not long ago, that many products, mostly for curls, have alcohol in it. While my hair had more curls, the ends split more and it was become quite damaged. Now I only use an anti frizz spray and an oil. After chopping at least 15cm of hair, it's currently very healthy, but has a hard time to curl very well, so I am searching for more products
I just cut my hair because some problems in it and now it's too short plus my hair is curly so it looks even worse, I will buy this conditioner to try to style it
🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷 HELL YEAHHHH!!!!! Please keep helping our business grow, but also be mindful and understand that it might have economical impact on who can access theses....
I hope this doesn't make it more expensive for anyone in Latin America. In my country every girly relies on this conditioner since the others are too expensive :(
It’s surprisingly lightweight and I feel like if you used less than I did, it wouldn’t be weighed down. And if you didn’t add oil on top! I wish I could ship you a glob so we could find out 😂
@@OffbeatLook my hair’s also really short, like barely past my ears, so I should probably wait a few months before buying any more curly hair products. 😅 but I would definitely try if I had a chance!
Eu não fazia ideia de vendiam skala fora do brasil, to descobrindo o hype agora. Espero que a empresa não encarece os preços, porque skala é bastante acessível no país.
What I hate about having curly hair is the amount of effort I need to put in to make sure it doesn’t end up a frizzy mess 🤣 after showering I actually dread having to do my hair because it takes so long since it’s porous and long af, the universe gave the laziest and more unmotivated girl one of the most high maintenance hair textures istg I wish it was straight but when it gets styled well I’m like “you wish you had this huh” to the straight haired ppl lol
