with cushion foundations u want to tap into the sponge and then tap some of the excess off onto the plastic cover, this way u dont get a thick splotch on ur face and easier to blend 🐱had issues with them sitting weird before i started doing that esp around nose
I was about to comment what you said too...Tim just applied it in the wrong way. I have combo oily skin, and it worked really well for me after I dabbed the excess foundation in the palette and then applied it over my face.
Maybe try it again? I know the applicator feels a little weird but it was made to work with a cushion product. When you use a different kind of sponge or a brush in there it doesn’t give the same finish/adherence as it does with the cushion puff. Also, although it was just the tip of the puff you pressed in really hard and got quite a lot of product on it. I actually recommend pressing even lighter than that. You should barely be able to see it on the puff at all and you can even tap around on the back of the cushion “door” to make sure the product is evenly distributed on the applicator before applying to the face. This way you can get a nice and even medium coverage that shouldn’t look super weird around the nose.

I forgot to mention i definitely think younger skin would love it, it settled too much in my fine lines and also started cracking from natural face movement throughout the day

For this foundation, I HIGHLY recommend that you tap the excess off on the plastic cover facing the cushion before applying. It surprisingly makes an actual difference. I’d give it a second chance tbh
Hey babe!! I love your reviews!!! However with cushion foundations, after you load product on the sponge, you have to tap on the plastic cover to even it out and take all excess products out, after doing that you apply to your face and if you need more product you just go back to the lid where you took the excess off ❤
That sucks that you didn’t love it! It’s my favorite. I don’t use the sponge it comes with, I use my beauty blender or a dab of a brush. It sheers ir out for me!
Hi so I have combo skin and this does really work for my skin but there is a big learning curve with this foundation. You should give it another try and two things watch Robert welsh he has a video on how to use it and also tap off some on the lid. You can use the excesses instead of going back into the pan.
Oh girl you barely have to touch it!!! Yeah that applicator is annoying on the nose and it holds so much! It will look like you didn’t pick up anything but it’s loaded!! You can use a brush lightly for your nose because it does that to me too and blend it with a beauty blender. I’m still in the fence myself on if I like it or not. I’ve worn it twice so far. First time it broke me out on my chin, which happens to me sometimes with new products but nothing too bad happened the second time. I think I’m going to give it a few more tries since I did but it and I love the component. I have so many powders I just change it up and see what works best with it
Maybe you should try again? Robert Welsh made a video how to apply this foundation, because he was tired of people were slapping it on the wrong way. Nikki la rose is actually using a brush to apply it! She loves it! ☺️😊 it’s a shame you used all that money for nothing! ❤️
I love this foundation. But I will say, before I started using it my skin was clear. My skincare routine is still the same and my face is broken out now :( the only difference is me using this foundation. Does anyone else recommend a different cushion foundation?
I've always wanted to try this foundation but when it gets weird around the nose at the start thats usually a sign its not gonna look good at the end of the day.
I’ve never tried this product but I am also someone that certain foundations just fall apart on my nose or applied splotchy. I have to put primer to kind of help.
As someone who uses cushion foundations regularly and has personally used the TIRTIR foundation truly you need to pat off the excess product on the cushion or it does get cakey. It is high coverage and it does sit pretty nicely if you use it correctly, now the downside literally no one mentions… it has a scent. Oh my god. It gave me a headache personally so I can’t use it but I think if the fragrance doesn’t bother you but I think you should give it another try. Also if you have dry skin, this product is just not for you I’m sorry and I say it as a dry skin girlie.
It’s bcuz you used too much. I think u should do another review with less foundation. I actually use a brush to dip into the compact and I can control the coverage better. 😊
Gurl its splotchy cause you didn't distribute the product on the back of the flap :( Not saying it will 100% fix it but just pressing it in and then going directly on your face means theres too much concentrated in one spot.
