VIRAL CUSHION FOUNDATION FOR PERFECT SKIN!? Is It Worth The Hype? 

Robert Welsh posted a video on how to apply cushion foundation properly....you applied sooooo much! I do know you like full coverage, but there's no way you need that much product. If you use the palette to even out product on the puff and remove excess product, it'll apply in thin, even layers...and be smooth and seamless.

I absolutely love it. I use a flat kabuki brush though. It uses much less foundation. It holds up well for 16 hours and I’m super oily and doesn’t emphasize my 48 year textured skin.

I love this foundation. You don’t need much at all! I have super oily skin and this foundation is amazing and keeps my oil at bay all day. This foundation doesn’t break up at all during the day. Will definitely repurchase.

Robert Welsh made a video showing that everyone is using foundation incorrectly because everyone is using too much product. I think that's what happened here too.

You used waaaay too much. People are recommending the Robert Welch video. Yes, watch it. One of the biggest things to note is don't press hard into the cushion. Lightly tap it, the puff should look like it hardly has any product on it. Build up the coverage, light layers are much better. Robert has oily skin also and he loved it. It's all about technique and application for many people.

omg i think you applied maybe 10x the amount of product you would have actually needed for this product... agree with you on the finish though! i feel like from afar your skin looks flawless, probably bcos the cushion is so high coverage and pigmented. but upclose it definitely looks way too heavy on the skin. would love to see you give this another try with a lot less product, your reviews are typically so helpful for us oily skin peeps!

This is my favourite foundation ! The biggest Thing u do not need near as much as u applied to be honest , at first I put more and my texture was in full force, Then i used alot less stil full coverage etc and was perfect all day !!

I love putting my foundation in my cushion applicator because it’s so easy to blend the correct color of the foundation and it’s so easy to apply.

I purchased this foundation. I have to be super careful not to apply too much. I did have another cushion foundation that was way too light so I removed the foundation, cleaned it and used my favourite foundation and it applies so much quicker than just from the pump bottle

Nikkia, I think you experienced issues with it because you applied wayyyyy too much. You only need the tiniest single dab with minimal pressure using the sponge that comes with it and it will probably suffice for at least half your face. Like another commenter said Robert Welsh has an amazing video on how to apply it so I think you should give the foundation another try after you watch his video or at least use a minimal amount of it❤

I think you’ll like it better if you start with less products or start by warming it up on the pan before applying it to your face. On the side note, can you compare its shade to other foundations you have?

I have oily skin too, live in Singapore and it gave me the same problem!! I used a lot less, one press into the cushion and dabbed some off before applying to my skin and it was emphasized every pore and texture and hair on my face. did smooth out after powder but the oil that came through made it very shiny and mask-like on the face. I just couldnt with it.

I’m interested to see how you go tomorrow. I believe you need very little product, and apply in a thin even layer. Fingers crossed it plays nicely tomorrow! 😆

Finally someone I can relate !! I baugght this and I was so excited to try it! But it was disappointed! I'm an oily skin too and it makes me look older just not I was expecting ! I regret I got 2 pieces! I only used it 3 times 😢

I have dry mature skin ,with some rosaca on cheeks and chin. It covers every thing. But needed to powder it. You only a little. I tried to different moisturizer a primers, before I found the right one. It stay put now and last 12 hours.

I just the foundation and tbh I put it on very lightly and I’m getting the same results as you lines around my mouth areas and forehead 🤷🏻‍♀️ but I like it tho it looks gorgeous on the skin

Tap the sponge at the back of the cushion cover. A little comes a long way.

I think the way to go with the cushion foundation will be start from very little product then build up. That will help

I've been wanting for Miss Nikia to review this Tirtir Mask Fit Red Cushion Foundation but worried at the same time that she might applying it wrong. You put a lot of products so it doesn't look good up close and emphasize your texture. You need a thin layer of Foundation after you pick up the products you need light hand when pressing then pat the excess Foundation on the bottom of the lid and apply a thin layer of Foundation you don't need too much because the Foundation is high coverage. I hope you it will work for you when you apply it right because I love this Cushion Foundation and a lot of people raved about it.

I think the reason that ppl mention this Tir Tir foundation seems to sit on top their skin is because of the sponge applicator. I bet if you used a foundation brush and buff it into the skin it'll warm up the product & kind of become more one with the skin..

I have dry skin and that happened to me too. I wiped it off and put a serum and then the cushion foundation. It got a lil better but I would rather use my wet n wild tinted hydrator.

Girl, you used A LOT. 😭 The reason the black cover thing is there is cause you’re supposed to dab it off. I have reeaal oily skin and dabbed less on to begin with, still wiped some off, then used that amount on my whole face instead of one side like I do w my usual foundation. I was AMAZED that it looked perfect still late at night and lasted as long as if not longer than my usual matte foundation without touching it up and while looking less dry the whole time. I know maybe you like to go in blind to test a product, but when you’re using a very different kind of product than you’re used to, it can definitely help to research how to use it a little more first.

So I bought this, no joke I do love it but it dries up my skin a bit and I’ve tired to do a very light coverage but idk how to make it look light coverage?

Try it again. Tap it on the inside cover first before on your skin. “A little goes a long way” with this product. Please make another wear test video with out powder and try applying it thinly. I always watch your reaction videos if i wanna buy a make up since we have a same textured skin and pores.

Hi, I tried it the way robert welsh did. In my experience, there was not much coverage and every time I tried to layer a bit more the applicator removed what was already on my skin… don’t understand what everyone is saying…

I had the same issue with it looking extremely heavy and textured and I don’t have very textured skin so it made my skin look worse.

And beautiful on my face! I just got w7 HD foundation 12 hour coverage foundation in the shade Buff for full coverage occasions and so far, it’s ok. But I’m looking for one that performs a bit better.

Had the same thing happen to me Nikki. It didn’t wear too well and sat on top of my skin. Not a fan nor my favorite. Bummer.

Honestly even if you used less product like some people are saying, it doesn't seem like it would agree with your skin.

You put a whole lot more than needed. Maybe try with a lot less. Would be interesting to see a video on how you felt with a lot less of this foundation on.

You used too much for first application. Start lightly & build if necessary. It is such great coverage, you don’t need a lot. You obsession about texture is ridiculous. Who gets into your face that close? Geesh!

You used to much. Use half of what you applied.

You literally drenched your face so you couldn't pat it all into your skin!!!
