The lights definitely improve the images but phones usually over expose a little. Try locking the focus then sliding the brightness about one or two stops down. You'll get a much more balanced photo

Oh thank you for this. I like to sew and to make sure my fit is good I use a 2 mirror set up and I like to take pictures of what I’m making making so I can really sit back & study the fit. My lighting is not the best so this will really help me to set up my phone & tripod and hopefully get some good pictures.

I was told that when doing a video the lighting should be behind the camera. That’s why I am confused about all these attachable lights that aim at the person. Perhaps I’m wrong ? Doesn’t the camera need to take in the light ? I could be totally off. Let me know thank you. Also which one did you choose? And should I go for this vs a ring ? Thx so much.

That is true and how I get my best light with my camera and ring light but the way it clips on top of your phone or laptop, it works very well. If you’re looking for portable and affordable, i recommend this. But, you you want a full set up or need something bigger, get a ring light on a stand

That’s my ring light from Neewer. It extends to around 5ft. It’s great but not portable/small which was the point of the video. Highly recommend it if you’re just filming in one spot.

I have that same bamboo, it grew too big for its pot, broke so I threw it out (i have a big garden already) but a month later i noticed a tiny leaf in the same giant pot that was empty till that point now i got a new bamboo growing :D plants are great --- i wasn't watering enough either but now i just put em all outside and let the rain take care of it
