Trying to FIX a Faulty Hoverboard / Self Balancing Scooter 

Vince you inspire me to take everything apart. I even dismantled my mates life support machine the other day. Fortunately, the A&E staff had a spare and my mate saw the funny side.

So my daughters hover board was out of whack on one side like it would Lean all the way around when she tried riding it. I thought it was broken but I recalibrated it like you were doing this one in the beginning and it FIXED IT! Thanks a lot!

this shows how beneficial it is to understand a fair bit about electronics so if your on the receiving end of something like that your not screwed because you have no clue on whats wrong

How did you get the cover off I have the same hoverboard the same problem and I unscrewed all of the screws and the cover won't come off still

Wow! what a bargain! a mere 50 dollars for a connector that wasnt properly plugged in lol awesome, maybe i can get lucky and find one of these deals, ive always wanted one since im just under the weight limit :D havent seemed to gain any more weight and lose some hear and there, so if i could get a lucky deal like this it might be good :) take care vince!

Does anyone know the metal thing in the center of the hoverboard like where it turns so i need a new one of those cuz the stick to make it turn both ways it bend idk how it did but i just need the name of it so i can fix it my own its the metal thing to make it turn left and right

The loose battery and wiring under the clamp and against just that shrink wrap oh my! That must have been one of those recalled units. In this case it just pulled the connector, no fire. Reroute the wires outside the bracket and take up the space under with rubber floor mat so it can't slide sideways. It fell on end in shipping no doubt.

I have an issue with a board a friend asked me to look at that I cannot find information about anywhere yet you would think it to be quite common. My board has an issue when you stand on it, it moves forward or backwards even when in the "flat neutral" position that isnt supposed to move. Im working on the issue now and am very surprised I cant find any others having an issue like this. I'll figure it out eventually and will post what I found once I figure it out, but nothing on RU-vid has helped at this point.

I have an issue me and my step son were on his hover board yesterday it worked perfectly until I came to a lip in the ground and it cause the tires to spin in place then it turned off and wouldn’t come on unless it’s in the charger but even then it blinks green then red

Always try to repair Stuff because it sometimes can be that easy.

The billion dollar repair i swear. How many times ive gotten jobs where they just sound like catastrophes and expecting the worst i unscrew the casing and wires not plugged in, its like a sigh of relief but at the same time was hoping for a challenge
