Trying to get out of Estcourt Station Maine through the North Maine Woods in our Toyota 4runner 

I've always been fascinated with boundaries and loved your videos about Escourt Station. I'm a fan now of your channel now as I can live vicariously through your off road adventures. Thanks for posting these!

Some advice if you find yourself in the NMW. 1. Don't bother with trying to use online maps. There is almost zero cell coverage. I like OsmAnd, you can add the NMW check points and camp sights to it and it costs way less than OnX. When you go through the check point they have paper maps get one and know how to use it. Its a good reason to plan a route that goes through a check point. 2. Bring way more fuel than you think you need. I usually go for 4 days and bring 10 gal with me. 3. The grassy roads are roads they just aren't logging in the area enough to kill the grass.

I took my diesel 4x4 pick up truck up through there north Maine woods inc from jackman all the way up through to Allagash, But my tank was full of diesel 35 gallons And my 100 gallon transfer tank in my truck body was filled with 100 gallons of diesel fuel so we were not going to run out of fuel

I enjoyed your trip through the Maine woods. It has been about 40 years since we did that trip. The biggest obstacle for us were fast moving pulp trucks, and flat tires. We got two at once from sharp gravel. I don't remember how we made contact, but some gas station guy drove out for hours with two used tires and rims and practically gave them to us for free.

As i said in the other vid, These roads up here can be very deceiving and things can go south quickly. i enjoy my summers up there fishing at camp and traveling up to Estcourt. (i live in southern Maine) Glad to see everything went smoothly! i subscribed

The last time I went all the way to Estcourt Station (5 years ago), there was a little store with gas on the US side. Is that gone now?

Couldn't you have crossed at the customs station and fueled up in the Canadian village?

Don't be so Helpless. you hace saws and time lumber all around you. dig out the wash drop, tie some loggs together to make a tire ramp and WALK the 4 wheeler over it. Maybe 2,3 hours.
