Matthew glad to see you are starting to feel better. Yes mice are a big challenge when you camp in areas like we do. I have two flashing lights / ultrasonic deterrents under the camper, and three cats inside and we also use the sawdust litter that we have around the base to help keep them away. So far we have been pretty lucky. We love our TCek swivel chair and our Cliq High Back chair but they are both pretty expensive. Safe Travels and hope to see you soon. 8) Wander On- Kyle and Michelle
We are looking for something to put under the RV for a mouse deterrent and we like the idea of the flashing light ultrasonic device. Thanks for sharing and thanks for watching too! ~ Shion and Matthew
Try steel wool in the hole where it is getting in. They don't like it!! Cinnamon works well. I use glade plug in for that and doing those 2 things , you should not have any problems. Cheri from Massachusetts
As a campground host I deal with mice all the time. This is what works best for me. Solar string lights off Amazon under your rig, peanut butter pail trick on RU-vid, and even some fire pit ash under my rig
. Peanut butter pail trick works the best. Set it outside alongside your rig. I caught 22 mice in the pail. Also have a cat and she's at 20 mice. Using string lights now and will go back to the pail for cooler weather
Have You tried shopping online? I haven't been inside Walmart in over 2 years. You order Your groceries. Schedule a pick up time, drive up and they wheel Your groceries out to You and put them where ever You want in Your car/truck. Pick up has never taken more than 5 minutes. As far as quality and accuracy it's a total win. In those two years they've messed up my order twice. I am disabled so I have mesh bags and they put my groceries in the bags. Back at home I have a wagon that I plop my mesh baggies in and I can then drag them inside where I sit in my old worn out computer chair and twirl around chucking things close to where they'll be put away. I can reach all levels of the fridge from the veggie bins to the freezer, albeit I just balance the freezer stuff on the edge. At the very end I pull myself up and cram the freezer stuff farther in and pray that the door closes as I plop back down in my chair. It's real easy to switch store locations on their website and just like in store shopping I always remember something I forgot to get, so I'll probably start the next shopping list 30 minutes after I get home. Oh and if You're lucky enough to have Big Red bring Your groceries out, well he'll stand behind Your car/truck and signal when it's safe enough to back out of the parking spot.
We have done Walmart pickup before. It's a very nice service. Thanks for sharing your experience with us and glad to hear you have had a great experience with the pickup service. Thanks for watching too! 😁 ~ Shion and Matthew
Me too! Now that I'm truck bed.camping instead of travel trailer, I have them put non fridge stuff into hatch for shell. Fridge freezer then to truck pssgr door for me to quickly put in my auto Euhomy auto fridge/freezer then my 2 dogs and I are outta there!
This past winter my rodent problem was the worst it has been in years. Presently I have one rat trap and four mouse traps set. With the hot weather, I haven’t had any takers. Oh, I also have a Hav-A-Heart trap outside. I also used it one time in my bedroom to catch a packrat. Living in the country, rodents are a fact of life.
Oh yeah. Colorado instituted no plastic bags anymore. Everywhere. Including restaurants. I used to love going shopping and then checking myself out. But so many entitled people kept complaining about self checkout that they said they were going to hire more cashiers. Well, they never said that they were going to limit the self checkout. It's a pain. Hope Matthew is better. I'm new and just catching up.
Thanks for sharing that info with us! Matthew is doing better. Thanks for asking! Welcome to BDR! We are glad to have you here and thanks for watching too! ~ Shion and Matthew
@@BrokenDreamsReborn as for mice, run LED rope lights around the bottom of your RV. Second don't park in tall grass, third make sure to lift shore power cord off the ground. It is soft rubber, and becomes a raceway for mice to run up into your RV.
Shion has looked and didn't not find any remote medical transcription jobs with them. Thanks for the suggestion and thanks for watching too! ~ Shion and Matthew
Electric charge mode or rat trap is what you need to make Stinky but very effective 😢 Keep animals away from it for sure and check it several times a day and night 😊
We had three in our rig last year when we camped up in the Colorado mts. I set out four traps and they kept taking the bait and not getting caught. So while I was drinking my coffee one morning one came out in the open and I took my towel and I caught it by hand. After a bit of squeezing it was dead and promptly tossed in the trash. Same for number two. The victor trap got the last one
Oh wow! 😱🐀 Hoping y'all stay mouse free! We are looking into more ways to try to keep the mice from coming into the RV! Have y'all come up with any good solutions? Thanks again for watching! ~ Shion and Matthew
GCI rocking chairs I've mine for 9 years use them all the time snow birding and now full time and they have held up great and are just showing signs of real wear to where I'm going to have to replace them before long.
Double Rainbow was so BEAUTIFUL!!! My favorite chairs were from Costco years ago...they quit making them I finally had to replace them with Amazon chairs just ok! Prayers for Job's ❤ you guys
That's so awesome! Congratulations and welcome to the Grand Design family! 😁 They have some of the best rallies where you get to meet awesome people! Thanks for watching too! ~ Shion and Matthew
Matthew, you ain't no young buck anymore! You've got to cry uncle now and get some help--you need to either see a chiropractor (you can walk in and get treated) or get a referral from a primary care physician (virtual visit) for physical therapy.
Well Matt that is what happens when you put your candy bar wrapper in the trash can lol . We are headed to CA starting tomorrow. I found out today that I'm putting in a Solar Farm for a winery there. This place is on top of a high mountain over looking the valley. I will send you pictures when we get there.
That sounds like a place that will have amazing views! We are looking forward to seeing the pictures! Safe travels and thanks for watching too! ~ Shion and Matthew
Oh gee 😢 not glue traps!!! Or poison.... grrrr That is not right grrrr I use live traps to release... helps the local predators.... my sister uses the old fashioned snap traps in their RV
Oh, the plastic bags! In Canada there's a ban on plastic bans. The stores aren't allowed to stock them, even if you're willing to pay. It's quite annoying because we always reuse our plastic bags. Every time we go to a Walmart in Indiana or Michigan, the rebel in me double bags everything 😂, just for the bags! In some stores, we pay for carts up here too (they're locked. You pay to release the cart and you get your money back when you return the cart. I hate that one even more than the ban on plastic bags and refuse to shop where I have to do that. I'm glad to see that Matthew is beginning to show signs of improvement, even if it's slow. Just make sure to rest and don't overdo it. Continuing to pray for your job situation and for healing for Matthew. We've only ever had one mouse (just outside of Yellowstone, in Montana) but we're planning to spend this winter in Arizona and I'm terrified of having a snake in the RV 😳. Beautiful rainbow shot! Have a great week!
We sometimes double bag our groceries when our plastic bags start to run low too because we reuse plastic bags too! 😂 Thanks so much for the prayers! We really appreciate them! 🙏💕 We hope you will enjoy your winter in Arizona and have no snakes bother you! Thanks for watching! ~ Shion and Matthew
AB Roadunners, we use the flat sticky traps and the old wooden traps in the motorhome. The traps are set all the time for hitch hikers. When we stay at the property, we use jiffy cornmeal mix and a box of baking soda.in containers. Setting them out away from motorhome. The rat and mice go to the mix, not the house. Wallmart, I won't shop anymore. Some of the stores are all self check out. I have a set budget. Walmart is all about greed anymore. I started shopping at Frys and pay a little more. We have Colman chairs, there's a small table and cup holder. Plus, our first chair was the fold up chair in a bag. The chairs I have recovered them. The sun is hard on the chairs. I walk with a cane. I can't walk a long distance. My issue is knee replacements and spine issues. Know how you feel. Take care, Barb
Was praying for you last week while in TN while I had a middle ear infection (14 days) so far, intense pain in ear, jaw, gums and cheek for 4 days. Made me think of your back pain. On Penicillin for 7.5 days. Hope things are improving since Mid June! 🙏
We are sorry to hear that you haven't been feeling well! We will be praying for a full recovery for you! Thank you so much for praying! We really appreciate the prayers and Matthew is doing better! Thanks for watching! ~ Shion and Matthew
I shop by myself all the time (I’m over 65). Bringing your own bags is good environmentally, I always have some in the car. We all need to learn to be flexible.
We used glue traps underneath our coffee bar in our 337 rls. We also used steel wool in any outside openings. Found in our 337 rls that the glue traps under the coffee bar worked the best. We hate using them but they were the most effective.
Colorado is not as great as it used to be. Sorry about the rude people and the bag saga. We love the rocker camping chairs by GCI. They have shocks on the back legs to give the rocking motion. Super comfy. There are multiple styles. Walmart sells the traditional directors chair style. We love the ones with higher backs we bought from Amazon.
Oh my goodness Shion I completely understand the stress of doing everything. My husband fractured his pelvis in BC on our way to Alaska in June. He is still unable to do very much. I drove us to Alaska and haven’t broke anything yet🤣 I am 67 and learning all kinds of new things😅 You have my complete unconditional support! Keep up the good work and great attitude, you rock💖
Oh wow! We are so sorry to hear about your Husband's injury! We will pray for complete healing for him! Way to go in learning and doing new things! 👍 That's awesome and an inspiration! Thanks for watching too! We really appreciate it! ~ Shion and Matthew
@@BrokenDreamsReborn You bet! My family dollar was out of it, So We're going to buy peppermint essential oil and mix with water and put in spray bottle
Re: Bags: There are multiple states where the state legislature passed a law requiring stores to charge for the shopping bags supplied by the store. Here in Washington it is the law to charge 8 cents per bag.
Those little mice always looking for a way to enter . There has to be an area that is not sealed enough for them to get in . I loved the double rainbow . 🌈
Do you have a back support? A lot of my back issues are from a lot of hard work in my past, but that support help me with my posture and that’s critical. I have an extra ha ha
Don’t talk about food prices, please😱😱😱😘 I’m a senior on a fixed income, I come here to escape reality and I’m an avid armchair traveler, due to health stuff. I could write a book about how to live off peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, Bologna sandwiches, and Meatless Monday. So, maybe preaching to the choir here on that one and the choir is already grumpy🤣🤣🤣
Bought some pretty sturdy chairs at academy sports, wish I knew of some good teleworking jobs for yall, I think Texas HHS needed some remote clerks, prayers for Matthew’s leg and your job situation 🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻
Hey There! We are weekend warriors. When our camper is at home, and sometimes boondocking, or resort camping, we use concentrated peppermint, the kind you use in cake icing. Then use a spray bottle. Spray on tires under camper, on Jack's, on frame, etc... Also spray down hoses where they go underneath camper, like kitchen sink, bathroom sink. We also have put copper pan scrubbers stuffed in holes where the pipes come up, mice don't like to go thru same with SOS pads. Purchased at Dollar Store. Plug in-s that put out high pitch only heard by mice. Haven't had any mice for years. Good to see you guys, will keep praying 🙏 for you. Candace and John
Thank you for sharing all those tips and suggestions with us! Thanks for the prayers too! We really appreciate them and thanks for watching! ~ Shion and Matthew
Love to see the double rainbow.🌈 You all are so blessed to see all the wonderful things. We have been full time for two yrs now. I hope we get to see all the special things, like all of you long timers.
We really loved seeing the rainbow! 🌈 Congratulations on being fulltime for 2 years! It's been just over 3 for us! We pray y'all get to experience all the wonderful things that y'all want to see! 😁 Thanks for watching too! ~ Shion and Matthew
I've seen partial rainbows before but never a complete ONE, much less 2. God's promise to us. Absolutely awesome and inspiring. Continued prayers for y'all. Oh, and the GCI rockers are my favorites.
GCI chairs, Mice, we tried everything else, drier sheets, Irish Spring, peppermint, etc etc. Finally invested in some Ultra sonic Pest repellers, bought a set of 6, plugged them all in inside our 40ft class A, went from trapping at least one mouse per day last winter to ZERO. We have not seen or heard of a mouse since.
Thanks for sharing all that information with us! What brand of ultra sonic pest repellenrs do you use? We have some too but still got a mouse, so wondering if ours aren't that good. Thanks for watching too! ~ Shion and Matthew
I make my own bags from cat food bags, dog bags, horse bags. I recycle them. If you need bags let me know. Colorado is not the only state doing this. Safe travels y'all and I pray Matthew gets better soon.
Food is where we over spend the most. I love Aldi but you can’t find them everywhere. I’m going to try those ultra sonic pest controllers. Side by sides throw so much dust up. If it’s a big side by side area we choose not to stay there. The bag thing is happening everywhere. I have my own shopping containers but forget them in the truck. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I hate that they have sent jobs overseas. Grrr
I quit using glue traps after the first time I used them. The mouse chewed off his arm to get free. That made me feel horrible. We use regular traps now.
Put a order in pickup.being waste money on extras. Eventually that's all it will be. Survey said other day 20% Americans are smiling meals because cost of goods. You need to stretch. Just sit on the floor at least. I promise its why feel better I. The day worse in morning tighten up. More you sit worse longer heal. Pantavirusus. Good old fashion wooden trap. Don't like glue traps as kind of torcher. Go outside at night look where the light is seal with spray foam.
The Walmart in my area doesn’t keep more than a couple self serve checkouts open anymore because of theft by people using them😳 Matthew I hope your healing speeds up.
Matthew, I feel your pain. I've been there before and I'll continue praying that you get better soon. Have you considered seeing a chiropractor? I've had great success using them when I've had the kind of pain your having. The longer you wait the harder it is for a chiropractor to fix what might be wrong. Just my thoughts. Love watching your videos.
Thank you for the prayers! We really appreciate them and thanks for the suggestion about the chiropractor too! We have heard a lot of good things about them! Thanks for watching! ~ Shion and Matthew
Praying for a quick recovery! we know the feeling of worrying about our job situation! Once we started pray and and thanking God for his provisions, we started to see changes in our financial situation. as for the mouse, we use a animal/rodent repellant spray on the parameters of our RV everywhere we travel. We have not had an issue yet.
Here is a link to the video explaining how Matthew injured himself: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-SLymsSE8hoA.htmlsi=XrfG6saW5AeSYF5d Thanks so much for watching! ~ Shion and Matthew
That is so true! Thanks for sharing that with us and there is a song with those lyrics that we really like listening too as well! Thanks for watching! ~ Shion and Matthew
Limits to self checkout lanes are an indication of a high theft community. The next step is closure. Plus, high prices means you are paying for someone else’s theft.
