Attempting to open a graded game from WATA Games. Not sponsored by WATA.
I sent in this game to test their authenticity skills, and they succeeded; sending me back my game encased in their archival case. To assess the durability, and protective nature, I attempt to open the case without damaging it to see if it can be done. This process took a turn south when I found the torch...

Try cold. Cold can make some glues brittle so they will crack along the glue instead of the case

@@k3vbotsgarage786 I was cleaning up about a hundred SNES carts and some adhesives and thoroughly soaked into stickers and labels. Freezing worked for several of those and I was able to break up the adhesive under the slicker with a metal spudger but it definitely wasn't working reliably enough to be something I tried first. Anyway, I did this to with a copy of Ken Griffey and noticed something else very strange: the SRAM battery popped right off the spot welds and was rattling around inside! It was a clean break from the tabs. I haven't been able to duplicate it since. FWIW, I was putting them in a Ziploc bags and squeezing the air out in order to reduce condensations back when I was experimenting that way. If you have dry ice available I wonder if that would have a more drastic effect.

Anyone wants to spend 10 million dollars for a graded game you cant play unless you have to weld the protecting case. And smash it with a hammer and hope you dont break the game inside what a rip off.
