A neat little unit. Your solar panels are connected with MC4 plugs and you can get male and female splitters. This is how I feed my 3 panels into one on my van. I'm fairly certain the yellow plug is an Anderson though.
You can easily hook multiple solar panels up in series up to max 50volt. Google solar panels in series to see how it's done. Try not to mix different expensive panels..
Came here to say exactly this other power units can have 60v but at 50v it should be ok most days running in series but may trip out on very sunny days but unlike most other units this will take 25amp in so on a really sunny day you can buy a set of Y joining cables and put both panels in series to bring voltage down but amps up. Also putting two panels in series will increase the productivity slightly in the morning and evening as the voltage will remain high enough to charge for slightly longer. Been looking at this unit and the hs2000 unit but the hs2400 is currently £900 and the hs2000 is £800 so £100 for more potential power out, but both are so close in battery size is it worth it for the extra 400w 🤔
@@yioob I bought the Australian 240v version, found in series worked with 2 200w renogy portable solar panels, but in parallel.. did not double output. I wanted to parallel the 2 200w panels with 2 100w in parallel and connecting the 2 separate in series .sadly did not give results I wanted. Hoped to get close to 500w input.
Only just found this channel but I'll be watching all of the videos to catch up. Such a nice couple and their enthusiasm is infectious. Mazzy's warmth and ever present smile brightens my day and as for Dan, well, he's a sweet mix of Alan Partridge and Craig Cash. If there's ever a new series of 'Early Doors' then, Dan's your man! Thanks for all your efforts guys!
Would like to see if these powerbanks would charge the battery in the motor home especially during dark nights when you have all the lights on and other equipment running.
Great video thanks. I really need one of those in my life but I won't be able to persuade my hsband to buy one. It would save a fortune over it's lifetime I must do some research on these and solar panels. I have just watched your video on Hawes it was excellent, I loved the facts and interesting information. Right I'm off to do more bingeing watching. oh and who else heard Mazzy sneeze in the background? hehe x
Quick question once you have these charged but you only have it for emergency do they stay charged long without use. I have a massive gas generator that I don't use much and was thinking about getting a small one you know for those snow days the lights might go out. Any recommendations on a small one for a mobile home. 😊
What is the best way to connect an external battery to this to charge it at night? And should I use 2 batteries connected together in order to get 24v and higher rate of charge?
Well it accepts 500w max on the DC input so theoretically 2 or 3 batteries hooked up as pretend solar input (max 50v ) would trickle charge the power station during the night to keep it charged , just keep the load on the other end below 500w to not drain the main battery
