Kitten rescue can be fun a lot of the time, but sometimes it's downright awful. In today's video, I'm showing you how I try to save fading kittens.

I’m sorry that you have to endure these loses when you’ve done everything you can possibly do to prevent it. It must be very hard. But it’s clear that you do everything you can for these kittens. ♥️

Thank you for sharing this. I have been in this position myself more times than I would like, and it is truly heartbreaking when you feel so helpless. It's so important that people realise that fostering kittens isn't just fun and awesome. It's that too, but it is, as you say, at times very hard. We do what we can, and take comfort from the fact that they knew love and warmth, and even though the outcome isn't what we wanted for them, it would have been worse had they been alone outside. Thank you for everything you do for your kittens. You pour your heart into them and because of that they are able to know love. I am so sorry about Bluey, but I know you did everything you could and she was happy and loved throughout her short life with you.

I have dealt with fading kitten syndrome with four kittens in the last year, I lost three of them. The one I saved I used a syringe with a feeding tube adding kero syrup to her formula. It was the only way I could get any nutrients into her. I had to do this for several weeks until she began eating wet food. I really morn the loss of kittens in particular since when they have no Momma, they are totally dependent on the care giver. Felt like a failure for the three I lost. Hydration by syringe with vitamin B-12, really seems to boost her energy levels too.

I notice that Bloody seems to at least swallowing the mix you give her, that's good I think. At least she is taking in some nutrients. I'm hopeful for you

I'm so sorry but what I see at the end of your video was the same fish out of water breathing the kittens I lost exhibited just before they passed.

Tube feeding is a life saver, can't believe they do not allow this. Yes, it comes with risks but so does feeding a kitten from syringe who doesn't want to eat.

I think the main reason they don't allow it is because it is traumatic to their systems
