I upgraded my rig for the sole purpose of making HOI4 run faster. The game is very CPU heavy, so having a good CPU is most important if you want fast HOI4 gameplay.

I just finished my first ever Japan attempt, 1947 and I saved the axis' ass, capitulated most of the allies, the US didn't even join the war (I wasn't dumb enough to attack the Philippines). I jus got to the part of the video where you have - 50k guns and this is the China curse, apparently, since before you drain them dry, they attack so often, that you just can't get equipment to your guys.
