Yes Trent the moose will come running through the forest to get to you. they are beautiful but dangerous. They will literally attack for no reason even in your own yard.
TRENT… be sure to get a protective vent cover , not just the ones with slats, it needs a mesh barrier too to keeps nesting insects out. I always worry about the auntie and Leo up in the trees, moose have been living there , well forever so they sometimes will get protective over the females in rut season. It’s all looking beautiful.
Moose kill more people in Alaska than Bear, even in the city of Anchorage! Please be careful 0:15 of them!❤❤❤ Sounds like they are in rut! Very dangerous time for male deer, elk, & moose!
This is untrue. Moose do not arbitrarily chase you. They are normally easy going. People initiate situations every time. Much of the time they do not realize that they are doing so. Given people's attitudes about wildlife, they do things they would never think of doing to another person and get upset when animals react.
Trent! Moose kill people! They can hurt you BAD! A moose is as majestic, and dangerous, or more dangerous than a bear, a mountain lion or a wolf. Be as careful around moose as you are about climbing, or dealing with bees, and wasps.
One quart water, tablespoon(or more) of peppermint oil and a squirt of dish soap. We have a shed, chicken coop, barn, open eaves and a detached garage and for wasps it’s been a life saver. If you keep up with it they don’t come back. I spray during the day no problem. We also get them in our umbrellas on our deck and my handy spray bottle takes care of that.
My friend was on a skidoo and he was being stalked by a moose who tore through the bush and the trees. My friend was convinced that the moose was trying to unalive him, and if he stopped at any point he was not going to make it out. They are dangerous and deadly.
I have something like that in my bathroom but I am about remodel because it is showing wear because it has been there at least 7 years. The make up desk/dresser is about 30 years old and the bathroom moisture has taken a toll on it.
About your vanity, go wall to wall and then you can center your sinks. The P Trap has a 2 inch swing to it, and you can use a 45 on the drain pipe coming out of the wall. This will allow you to center the sinks.Small areas in the bath tend to be catch-alls and make for a untidy look.Plumber for 30yrs or so, I do enjoy your videos great stuff. The tub valve in Leo's bath is another matter. OOPS Good luck to you all on the rest of the project JJB
Wasps hate Pine-sol. I use a paint roller and full strength Pine-sol and roll the roof of my back porch with the Pine-sol. Wasps be gone. Guaranteed to work.
eeehr a moose is as big as a horse and can run about as fast , there known to trample people during mating season there kindah on edge so you shouldnt try anything but film from a distance or near a three you can climb i realy fast as for the vanity : youre the owner of a campervan build company and have some realy good furniture carpenters working there , just have them custom make it to fit and have shelves on the sides to fine tune the width as for the wasps : might be a good idea to cover the holes up with bug mesh , that still allows the air to go in and out but keep the wasps from entering sumting that might be fun to do for allie and leo is make gipsum casts of the footprints they find all you need is the top cut of a smallish bucket as a border and the gipsum to poor intoo it , might need a plantspray bottle to slightly wet the print to prevent it collapsing when you por the stuff in seeing the outdoor unit for the aircon out in the open makes me wonder if it might be a good indea to put a sloped roof over it so the snow doesnt stack on top of it damaging the fan and grille
He’s a smart Sales Rep! Always bringing something every time he comes up! He’s letting you know he appreciates the business. The fact he comes up to update you is Big too!!
Hey Guys, Looking Good!! Trent, Brother, You're Using The Wrong Machine For Your Dirt Work!! Your Skid-Steer Is Much More Effective In Moving Dirt And Fine Work!! Later Guys! Peace Out!
FYI: My landlord built my bathroom with a kitchen lower cabinet and put a sink on top of it. I LOVE IT because it is taller than a regular bathroom vanity and it is so much more comfortable than leaning way over to brush your teeth! I recommend using kitchen cabinets!! :)
I don't know if you have ' Carpenter Bee's ' where you live but we have them here in S/W Ontario ,Canada . They do some nasty damage to wood . What you'll see on the vertical side of boards is a perfectly round hole about the size of a Dime ( 10 cents ) and in some cases a little pile of sawdust below . It's not so much of the Dime hole as it is the channels they bore throughout the rest of the board and in a sense destroying them . They especially like boards that have been freshly cut . Treat your cut edges . That's all I have to say about this matter . Happy Trails from 🇨🇦 to the 🇺🇸 . ✌ out L8R
Hes a cute little guy but wow that attitude was aggressive in this video. He didn't like that itchy black boggin on his head . Then told mom GO as he was heading out the door a shut the door in mom's face. DONT MESS WITH LEO ON A BAD DAY 😂😂..I THINK HES MISSING HIS AUNT JENNIFER or whatever he calls her 😂😂
You could also put in 2 36" vnities with a 16" linen cabinet in between. Put a medicine cabiet over each sink and beautiful lights. you can put small waste baskets inside the cabinet under each sink so they are out of sight. You really have lots of options. It's all good!!
Allie, that paw print looks like it has toenails, so it probably came from Lika or a wolf. Do you have wolves or coyotes in your area? Trent, please don't be stupid about filming moose. They are beautiful but very dangerous! As someone else has said here: especially during mating season. They have been known to charge at and trample people who got too close. I live in Maine. We have moose. It happens more than you might think. Please don't stalk and make mating calls to the moose!!!
Met Bob the moose at the hotel in Alaska. He stuck his head in the window of our room. There was also a moose calf. I just walked right up to them. They were totally calm. How will you ever leg your children out to play in wild country! Even with fencing, if you choose to go that route
I’ve remolded a few houses and I always use a kitchen cabinet in the bathrooms . Both my wife and I are tall and I knew our kids were going to be taller. The taller cabinets are way more comfortable than the shorter vanities are. In our last remodel I custom built the kitchen cabinets and they are 42 inches tall rather than the standard 36 inch ones. Both my wife and I enjoy them so much it isn’t funny.
Saying hello from the Netherlands. Love all youre doing with the house. Love that everybody is oke but i'm missing somebody in youre litle cartoon family in the intro. Little billy. Hope to see him soon . Love Fiona ❤
Kraftmaid cabinets are the absolute bomb. We did our kitchen with them back in 2002 and not a single broken drawer, hinge or anything else in all of them. And this kitchen gets the use. In my master bath, I put two vanities with a gap between them, and used that center area as a makeup vanity table. Just run the custom countertop all the way across.
You can use French cleats and secure inside the cabinets and not worry about legs at all it would be easier to clean floor instead of having to go around legs. Something to consider.
Yes a moose can come running through the woods , stay away when they are in rutting season, I see it a lot, I live in NewBrunswick Canada 🇨🇦, it’s moose hunting this week
Apparently, you can install a fake or simulated wasp nest where you don't want them to nest. Wasps are territorial and won't build a nest where other nests exist, so they go elsewhere. I saw on another channel where someone literally crocheted a wasp nest lookalike and it worked! Also, I love Marco's!
I've heard that if you paint the underside of your eaves a sky blue color they won't nest there because it looks like the sky. I haven't tried this yet, but am very tempted. I also hang paper bags that I blow up and tye off resembling a hornet nest and it does seem to help
Wow!! That was a huge moose!! 🫎 ❤ thanks for sharing! Be careful though I saw someone get stomped when I was in the BWCA. They say moose are even more dangerous than bear.
You went from “a hair outa square” to “everything in this house is offset” 🤪 and you went from two young adults riding motorcycles in Mexico 🇲🇽 City to now getting your own kids some to ride.Boy how time flies and it’s been a pleasure watching ALL the changes, challenges and triumphs 🫶🏻
HI Trent , Allie Leo, Billy Frank and leka Brendan GRACESON and Jennifer well done Guy's awesome video thank you 🌟💯🌟❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

That's a "Wow" mess. Got to do that piece by piece. Block off everything else mentally and just concentrate on the 2 square feet, shifting as each section is organised. Good luck. Stay motivated.
Yes Winter Is Coming, GOT! I'm sitting at 32° this morning and 28° is due tomorrow morning in NW Montana. We are only at 4000 ft. Everything is looking great, coming together nicely! Really like how the road grading is coming along around the house! Missing Auntie Jen🙏🙏🙏. Take care everyone! You're all awesome!❤

Pizza is such a recognizable aroma. I work in a Greek / American restaurant. Often, I’ll visit a local convenience store after work. Now, I love pizza and sometimes make pizza for us employees. I NEVER hear “ I smell mousaka” or “I smell grilled fish” but EVERY TIME I make pizza then go to the store…..you guessed it
I looked up scents wasps don't like and they are: peppermint, vinegar, lemongrass, bay leaves, clove, sliced cucumber, scented herbs and geranium essential oils/flowers.
Great progress, adorable kids, drama racing against the onset of fall/winter to get it all done and the suspense of wondering if Trent's going to be the next PSA for Moose interactions. Oh you need a shirt for your online store similar to the NPS "Don't Pet the Fluffy Cows"! I would totally buy it. What about a mess screen over those vents to keep all manner of critters out of the HVAC systems? Ok you know the pesticide sprayers? Mix Dawn and water together - spray the wasps. Wasps can't breathe because the soap clogs their nostrils so to speak. When it gets too cold for them - remove the insulation and get the nest out of the wall because they will find a way into the house otherwise. My Dad tried that leaving it alone thinking they would die off....nooooo we had to rip the outside wall back open the following fall and remove a huge nest, hang new insulation and seal back up the outside wall.
OK Trent, the grade seems promising, the true test will come when the rain & snow arrives... Regarding those tracks, cats nails retract and wouldn't be seen in their tracks, keep that in mind and both cougar and bobcat have very large paws/prints which enables them to walk in snow, like snow shoes do...with the dogs around very unlikely.... winter is coming, get 'er done! 👍💪🤠
I don't know how tall you are, but my rather put kitchen height cabinets in his bathroom, and it is amazing! No back breaking bending to keep water in the sink. You don't even lean over to wash your hands!!!
Marcos used to be my favorite pizza go to, but our store changed their tomato sauce recipe and it totally ruined the taste. Now, I just make my own pizza from scratch. You’re making great progress…and it won’t be long before you’re able to put the finishing decor together. 😊
Watching from Australia 🙂I look forward to your episodes each week and was wondering when Billy will be added to the animation at the start of your videos ...
I sure hope you do a home tour because I am a new member and I am trying to see how you built on lol. Sorry I am old I need to go back and watch all episodes. Love that porch it’s so big and Amazing
One of our favorite pizzas is Donatos buffalo chicken pizza with blue cheese. OMG it is the best. When My daughter was PG it was one of the only things she enjoyed eating, form months!!!.
My brain is exactly the same! I drive everybody nuts because I can't handle a dirty house but the only time my brain will be quiet is if my home is in order... Sometimes I go away we just got back from a cruise for instance and it gives me a break because I don't have to worry about those things but in my house it all needs to be organized I can't have it any other way.. ❤
Allie. You need one spot in the house that is clean and organized and uninterrupted. For your peace of mind. Maybe it's a space in the basement. Maybe it's upstairs. A place for you to go and look and have everything in order.
As a former Marco’s employee, the dough for the cheesy bread and pizza are the same just cooked differently. Pizza is made on a screen and bread is made in a pan so technically you’re both right 😂 Or at least used to be! Love your videos and your family!!
Those “Fake Wasp Nests” actually work well. Although the fall is a dangerous time for wasps, as they become super aggressive once the effect of the Queen wears off and their aggressiveness is misdirected.
The place is looking great!👍🏻. Fyi; contact a custom cabinet maker with your dimensions and you will find that they may even be less expensive than you imagine.
I recently read something about a person who crochet a wasp nest, hung it up and it works wonders as a preventative measurement; i.e. she never had wasps again trying to get in her house. I would call a professional for those stingy buzzing creatures…😅
Wasp nests are made of paper a product of wood fiber. As your exposed wood dries out the grain becomes more pronounced, wasps take advantage of this process and scrape the wood fibers from your house mix with water from your mud holes and bingo zingo you get a perfectly insulated home for the next generation. painting and or oil treatments will deter these activities.
Dryer sheets work really well and you can stuff them everywhere. Also if you set up traps to lure them away from the area is also a big help to use in conjunction with the dryer sheets.
Allie, Trent is right about bathroom vanities not always having feet on the bottom. In fact, I think vanities with feet is a newer trend. Most people I know do not have bathroom vanities with feet on the bottom, but then again, most people I know do not have newer homes. I can definitely understand wanting to follow the new trends, but please know that a vanity with no feet would look just fine. But that said, if it's not what you want, it's not what you want. You have great taste and I am sure whatever you come up with will look great!
I have heard that there is a native american tradition (I believe) that makes an imperfection on purpose so as not to piss of the gods by trying to be perfect and the Japanese Wabi-Sabi turns mistakes to beauty
Probably need to cover those vents until they come to fruition I would think of them like your heating vents on an RV You have to have those grates on them or You have mud daubers, hornets wasps whatnot
You can make your own open vanity using floor board and then buying a countertop to put over it for the 2 sinks running it wall to wall. Then make a shelf below that runs the same length. You can use baskets for towels and toiletries. Just a thought!
Dear sweet Ali, offset seems to be the norm and there are some things that are worse than others… please be in prayer and repentance to the Lord Jesus Christ because the Earth is at the end of the age and in the Bible it says there is going to be a lot of earthquakes and shakings. I’m glad you have at least two homes and maybe even a van for options for for living in. My prayers for your whole family because you guys are so beloved and I enjoy having your videos and lives streaming into my living room.
Guys I have been watching you guys from the foundation of the first build, @trent with the level of snow that you get every year I would suggest that you grade the back of the house a bit lower (a foot) under the shill plate to prevent water from sipping into the house.
My husband is a builder. We have used kitchen cabinets in many ways when we wanted a custom look. We even used them as clothing storage in a bedroom that had a very small closet. He trimmed them out, and they look amazing and are so practical for storage.
I love watching in bits and pieces as I go about things I have to do. Gives me time to think about each section, the music, the photography, and to admire how you work thru each hurdle.
As a kid on elk hunts dad walked one cutting and the noisy kids walked another hoping our noise would scare off the moose. We walked and talked and threw rocks at trees. Crash, crash, crash. We ran all the way back to the cutline intersection and waited until dad returned. The moose scared us instead of us scaring the moose!
You guys should make enough room in the back of the house for a swing set for Leo and Billy and a nice patio area for you guys while there playing on the swingset
You all have a beautiful day it is nice to see the moose on your videos I love how the bathrooms are coming along you all and your your family and friends have a wonderful week 💕 God bless you all
Whoever thought it was a good idea to have the faucet directly in the middle of the tub was not thinking. You can only comfortably seat one person, at one end of the tub. If it was offset, two folks could enjoy the tub
When your eeves are complete paint the soffits and ceilings of your porch sky blue. It keeps the bees wasps hornets birds from nesting in there as they think it's sky
Bobcat's have a paw print with what looks like 3 toes, kinda the same reasoning Trent mentioned of how they smoosh together or weight not making the impression on one toe. They can be fairly big too compared to dog prints for their size.
