The “I Will Remember You" cover is sung by Envy Adams in the show but instead of Brie Larson the vocals are performed by Emily Haines from Metric, which is a pretty meta nod to the movie.
"The imperfect journey of imperfect people trying to improve" is such a perfect description of most of my favorite stories (and most of the shows you've watched on this channel)! And please do cover SPTO on the channel! From what you said in this video, I think you're going to love it.
Hey, this might be the wrong place to comment this but I’m not sure where else, but Wilbur Soot has released a new album and would love to see a “trying to stan” video on it. Love the content, keep up the amazing videos!💗
Hello!! If it’s not too much trouble, I was wondering if you’d try listening to The Crane Wives? They are a indie rock/folk band, and do an amazinggg job when it comes to vocals, instrumental, and lyrics!! So you know, they’re pretty good! As for song recommendations (please ignore how most are from Coyote Stories, its just my favourite album ok): - Curses (spooky swing!!) - The Moon Will Sing (you WILL cry) - New Discovery (veryyy pretty) - Keep You Safe (woohoo wholesome message) - The Hand That Feeds (capitalism.) - Hollow Moon (Single Version) (jammin!!) - The Wolf (they wolf’d out on this one) - Safe Ship, Harbored (banjo.) - Icarus (yet again, jammin!!) Alright I think that is MORE than enough to get you started!! If any of you guys have any recs I’d be glad to add them! Man I love their music so much
Please give us a review of this series. I've seen the entire thing so just hearing your response to the songs without the context for them is hilarious but I feel like watching your response to those same songs with the context in the moment will be even better.
it's sooooo hard to say what I want to say about the series without spoiling stuff, but yeah this show is my new favorite thing, i'd love to see your reaction to this show
Do you think you’ll ever go back to doing more pop music reactions? Because I would love to see your reaction to/hear your thoughts on Bastille’s work. They cover such a wide range of topics in their music (growing up, mental health, alcoholism, love, heartbreak, politics, fictional characters, and so much more) and they do it in such a beautiful, clever way. Also Dan Smith’s voice is GORGEOUS, and their live performances are absolutely incredible. ❤️❤️❤️ If you ever want a list of recs, I can absolutely come up with some suggestions! (Not that I don’t love your content now, it’s still so great! I just really think you’d like Bastille 😅)
OMG YES YES YES YES YES!!!!! I know you'll love it and I really, really, REEEEEEAAALLLLLYYYY want to see your thoughts and reaction of it, you have no idea!!!!!
i'm honestly so hyped for your reaction to the show - i was genuinely surprised and impressed by how much i enjoyed watching it myself. i first saw the live action movie in middle school at a sleepover with friends. we were obsessed with wallace & roxy (most of us being queer ourselves) and quoted lines at each other a bunch. i rewatched the movie later in my teens, and ended up being much more critical of it then. i tried reading some of the comics to see how they compared, but i never got very far (curse you attention span). that all being said, i wasn't quite sure how to feel going into the show, between my fond nostalgia and my less savory feelings about it later on. but i wound up having so much fun! the animation is great, it's WILD to hear all the voices from the movie (in a good way), i laughed a lot, the soundtrack rocked (as you've heard), and, well, i'll hold onto my thoughts on the ending for now so that you have space to hold your own when you get there. in general, i have a feeling you'll have lots of fun watching it, too :~) can't wait to see!
I'd love to hear your thoughts on the show! I found it so validating to watch as a person who got into Scott Pilgrim yeeeeeears ago and knows the world around him better
Yes please talk about the show! I really love your dip dives into animated shows and your theories. You also brings so much emotion to your reviews it always makes me cry (in a good way).❤❤❤❤
Neat video overall. Hope to see you make a video tackling your thoughts after watching the show sometime soon. Love how you explain your thoughts on things. Your ideas for Scott Pilgrim musical numbers is making hope that a actual Scott Pilgrim musical happens some day. It sounds like a fun idea. Maybe they could make that a Netflix special or something. Apparently "Konya Wa Hurricane" is a song from an anime. In the least spoilery explanation possible: that version you heard here is basically a crude in-universe cover of the song posted online.
I'd love to see you react to the show! It's so so good and there's definitely moments that would be great to see your reaction to, especially knowing that you're familiar with the franchise already :D
I love how you mention that Stephen's songs feel like it has elements of how he feels about his sexuality and being closeted, bc I always seen the soundtrack of the movie as that too, specially bc most are kinda love songs? "People getting touchy when I touch my thighs" on Summertime for example. It feels like it's subtle easter eggs, specially bc the guy he eventually dates doesn't show up on much media outside of the comic, I just really like interpreting it as that
I'd really, really love for you to watch/react to Good Omens. It's an absolutely FANTASTIC show, and I just really feel like you'd love it. It's been my fixation for months now since s2 finished, and...it would make me so damn happy to see you watch the show!
I would love to see a reaction from you or you talking about the show!! Especially as a fan of the comics, I am one too and I'm interested in another opinion on this!
didn't even realize until you cut the small excerpt that 'detective flowers' is definitely an ace attorney reference - sounds a lot like the courtroom lobby theme
I'd love to see your reaction and thoughts on the show! As a long-time fan of the movie, I was pleasantly surprised with the direction the show took, and was happy to see that the supporting cast got a lot more time to shine and get fully realized as characters in this world.
Hey I was wondering if you could please do trying to Stan Hot Mulligan?? Especially their album Opportunities- it’s their most emotional of the lot imo and I think the lyrics would really speak to you of a lot of their music. Their newest album “why would I watch?” is also really really good
Konya Wa Hurricane is a cover of a song from an 80's anime called Bubblegum Crisis. It's kind of iconic among older anime fans. Was really shocked (in a good way) when it started playing. lol
Hii I know it's kinda random but have you ever heard about sleeping at last?? I love your the way you react and analyze music and I think you'd like his work‼️‼️
Will echo everyone else and say that if you’re a fan of Scott pilgrim who felt it didn’t age well in certain ways and wants more from the side characters, you NEED to react to this show.
(NOT A SPOILER) I don't know if anyone else already commented this but God Only Knows is a digital cover of the original track of the same name by The Beach Boys ! Super beautiful song. Love your videos
