Fantastic videos and editing. You have such a talent Jeanie. I miss the Tucson sunsets. It's been years since I've lived there, but I do remember them. They were spectacular. Love your backyard and new pontoon. Enjoy!

Hi Jeanie Marie! My wife, Janis, has been following your and Vince’s journeys and was excited to see that your life’s path has led you to rural living outside Tucson. That's super cool because we did the same thing - now in our seventh year here on over two remote acres near Saguaro National Park. The nature, wildlife, peacefulness, sunsets, and mountain views are incredible (as you know!). It’s been the best thing we’ve ever done, as our days are happily filled with slow, simple, and intentional living. We were even featured in a Netflix film - “Less is Now.” I’m pretty envious of you two, however, for embracing this wonderful desert lifestyle at such a young age. It took us SO much longer to figure it out!
Howdy yall. Im sorry I've been a stranger the last few months. I had a few health issues lingering but it's not an excuse haha. You guys are phenomenal. Thank yall for letting us in on your journey. Keep being the best!
Thank you Jeanie and Vince for this wonderful update!❤ I love your house, pontoon boat, Arizona sunsets, your pool, and the cat too!🌅🥰💞 Thank you for posting this fantastic video and I hope to see another 🎉💜🌹
I just found your channel and I am enjoying your past videos. I am a native to this beautiful city and it brings me joy to see others appreciate it. Yes, the summers are brutal, but , like anywhere else, you learn when to be out in the elements. Enjoy getting to know the area.
I completely agree Jeannie! We moved to Florida from Minnesota where we were born and raised and got the same comments. Duluth in the winter with no sun for 6 plus months was the thing that we decided we just didn't want to do anymore. We love the sun. Can it get hot and the humidity make you feel a wee bit uncomfortable? Sure! But it isn't always like that and having sun nearly 98% of the time has been so life changing I can't even tell you. We love our community and being active citizens all year round not just a few months out of the year when it was nice in Minnesota really sold us. The reactions can be pretty dramatic about the heat right? It actually isn't as bad as everyone said it was supposed to be. So I say follow your heart! I am so happy for both of you! We are getting a pontoon too! We love boating up and down on Nature's Coast in the marsh. It's so beautiful. 👍🏼
Thank you for this response - I'm glad we are not the only ones! Reactions are very dramatic! But it doesn't matter where you live - I received all sorts of ridiculous comments when we lived in Colorado too - people just like to try and take others down - that's society nowadays! It's refreshing to read comments like yours. So glad you are loving FL and enjoy your new pontoon - we sure love ours.
im from nh.tried living in fla. 2x.once in west palm and once in st.cloud.west palm in july was way 2 hot 4 me.ill take the snow and cols anyday.less creepy crawly bugs as well and no hurricanes, lol.
Stock tank pool was a great idea. Even if it does rust in 5 years, it’s cheap enough to keep replacing your entire life and still be money ahead versus a built-in.
I'm curious, was the stock tank way cheaper than just buying the biggest jacuzzi you could find & not turning on the heater during summer? (& in winter if you wanted to use it as a Jacuzzi)
I was I travel agent years ago and I'm considering getting back into it again. Travel has always been a passion for me and now that my kids are grown I'm looking to chase those passions again. If you have time I would love to talk to you more about it.
Can you enlighten me on why you chose a gas powered truck over a Chevy diesel? My neighbor says the diesel gets double the MPG, with double the power, and the engine lasts double as long LOL
2 months later and I see you've had 110+ days over 100 degrees and counting. Yikes! But I'm sure you're still enjoying it! How bad are your electricity bills? I have a buddy who said his were over $500/month near there.
I'm not judging or hating, simply just curious, why did you buy a gas powered truck when a Checy diesel gets double mpg, double the power & the engine will last twice as long.
I lived in Goodyear, Arizona for 7 months. HELL ON EARTH!!!! I’m not into dirt, rocks dessert scene. I’m an Oregon girl, 4 seasons!!!! SNOW! RAIN! and being able to go hiking amidst the 🌳 trees.
Welcome to Arizona! I’ve learned to say there is no extreme weather in Arizona, you’re just in the wrong part of the state. I just drove back from the high country of Arizona where it was in the low 80s and 40s to 50s at night
I hope your cat has sharp claws…to fend off Wile E. Coyote! Southern Arizona is quite pleasant in the summer when the glaring sun begins to set in the early evening.
Moved to Tucson from Colorado over two years ago. Hate it because of the heat. Its like having SAD in the summer. I'd move back to Colorado in a heartbeat.
What's a good/beautiful place to live in Colorado? I'd love 5-ish Acres or more outside of a "University Town" (like Tucson is). I've visited Boulder a couple times but haven't had a chance to look for properties.
