hmm, this was filmed in Southern California, in Burbank. we have 80 degree winters(100+ degree summers). If they are filming during anytime but winter, i commend that man(the one in the cat suit) for not dying of heat stroke.

My guess is that it was filmed in the summer. If you look closely, it seems that Derek Savage couldn’t be bothered to remove the Fourth of July decorations from his front yard (even though the movie is supposed to take place during the school year, since Cool Cat is running for class president). You can see a bunch of America-themed pinwheels in the garden. Though I also wouldn’t be surprised if Derek Savage just has those there year-round.

What is most likely was: An oversight during production However, the fun answer: Cool Cat is a fucking dumbass and gave Butch (the bully) Maria's (the girl) number when Butch said to CC "Maria is my friend and I just got a new phone, and I need her number". And Cool Cat probably gave Butch his number and email as well because he wanted to be friends with Butch.

By the way, the guitar is a replica of Eddie Van Halen's 5150 Kramer that he played in 1984. You can't buy replicas like that from any official guitar company, so unless at one point, Kramer sold a few of these, they had a replica made for this.
