Did Chris actually start the korean tortilla? I am asking because it has been around in the Korean community for a while now and I am unsure if it actually originated from his TikTok. Same with Ramen fried rice... I think he was inspired by existing recipes that have been around in the Korean community. That’s different from saying these are his original recipes

Hmmm. I just watched RU-vid video on a Kimchee fried rice spam musubi, which this video has some similarities. The other video actually sliced the spam into slices, soaked in oyster sauce/sugar for a few minutes, frying them crisp. Then minced up Kim chee was fried in frying pan with cooked rice with soy sauce and Kochujong, then they put saran way inside the cleaned out spam container and stuffed a layer of fried rice, then fried spam, another layer of fried rice and another layer of spam about 1/2-2/3 full. Extracted the wrap with packed fried rice, spam layer and used a sheet of nori and wrapped the layer compressed fried rice/spam/fried rice/spam into a rectangular packet, covering all sides with the single sheet of dried seaweed. Once wrapped it was brushed with an egg wash and covered in panko and fried until crisp. It looked interesting. It was just time consuming, but this recipe seems just as good and much faster. I'll have to try both when I have time.
