Not sure why it only respons to thesecond input from keyboad, i dont have that issue. let me know if you find the issue, or it is fixed. i can imagine its rather annoying.

Okay, I just tried it. It is amazing! I have a M1 Max MacBook Pro, and there is a beta version specifically for Apple silicon, so I'm happy. Flying is great, I chased wing-suite jumpers, it is mind-blowing! BTW, you can use you computer keyboard's space key to arm/disarm drone. 🙂

Hey, yes, under map function, by pressing M, you can choose secenarios, and if you choose the basejumper, it should spawn every time you hit reset (R-key) Hope this helps. And thanks for watching :D

welcome to the world of FPV. havent tried the training part of tryp yet, i am thinking of making a video with a completely new pilot, to see if it works or not. there are not a lot of models, and maybe they could add a micro drone. on the other hand when you get a bit further into the hobby you probably want to create your own, to match what your drone feels like IRL. Totally agree with you. I am also new to this hobby and have been practicing in simulators so far. The training mode in this simulator is obviously set up incorrectly, because in normal flight mode on the map everything is fine and the drone is predictable, but in the training mode the drone has a tantrum and unpredictably, at least for a beginner it is so.

its hard to say what specs you need, it depends if you want max setting, or are fine with the lowest. are you planning on using a 120< hz screen you need to run it at over 120fps as well. i would personally go as high as my budget allows. the recommended specs on the steam page, and adjusted for laptop hardware says you need something like a 4 cored cpu running at least 3,5 ghz, and close to a 3080 laptop gpu. i dont have a laptop personally, but i can try and borrow one and do some testing.. hope this helps a little. @rcaddict9558

As far as i know the DJI goggles 2 and integra does not support input. the goggles v1 and v2 does have an analog input, where you can convert an hdmi to mini jack, and in that way get a input option for the goggles. unfortunately they removed this option with the goggles2

I somewhat agree with velocidrone, it is very close. And tryp is catching up fast. Liftoff on the other hand, in my opinion don't feel real to me, and had to change a lot of settings. It's cold that a lot of people have different experiences, and i suspect that it has something to do with the PC that we are using, different hardware. For instance I've noticed, while recording for RU-vid the psysocd seems to change a bit in each simulator. When I was racing in velocidrone, when I had my record software running, it became harder. First i thought it was due to nerves, therefore i changed so I always recorded the last 5 minutes and could have if i wanted, but it still flew different, i suspect it's the same with the other simulators. Would you mind me asking what system/spec you are using? Would like to explore this a bit more. Thanks for watching.

@@RaukFPV my pc is a gaming setup therefore deals fairly well with the sims. In any case I check the performance and the fps to run at a decent pace and all of them run smooth enough. Tryp devs replied to me with a few tweaks to increase that inertia, however neither of that worked, the drone takes the turns like if it was sticked to it, afterwards I take mine irl and I go wide everytime smashing it with everything lol

@@edicionesDB9I totally agree. You can kind of fix the inertia problem in free play mode by tweaking the aerodynamics but in racing you can’t change it. Super frustrating. I spent like an hour trying to hit a turn that I know for a fact I could nail in real life. I have 7 years of fpv experience so it was extremely frustrating trying to relearn physics itself. In the end I realized that continuing to fly the sim would only make me a worse pilot so I refunded it.

Oh yes!, you are absolutely right. The Physics are so good now. their presets are pretty good. i didnt use the same pids as for my real drones, so they dont quite match up. but a bit of trial and error and ive got it setup to feel very close to the real thing! made two, one 5" apex and one to simulate my djinn25, both are great. hey, i dont think the regular dji remotes, such as dji rc 1 and 2, or the dji motion rc will work with simulators on pc. If you have a dji fpv rc 2 (grey one) or the Dji fpv rc 1 (black one) you should be able to use eiother of those. hope this helps.

as far as i know there is currently no way of connecting the goggles 2 to a pc for it to run a simulator. ive been experimenting with the streaming feature, but i havent gotten it to work yet.

There is an option which says goggle view in TRYP sim new update version, but I can't figure out how to connect it @@RaukFPV

yes, unfortunately that is just a simulation of how analog goggles would look.

It should, unfortunately i cant test it, as i dont have an xbox controller. it dows work with the playstation controller. when you set it up be fore to set gamepad mode for the trottle as it makes it more controllable.

Thats pretty good for just 10 hours :D hope they add wind in the future, would be a nice addition :) Did you use the "learn to fly",. and if so what did you think of it?

found a sort of workaround. under the model tab, then go down to usb joystick, i set it to advanced. If mode: joystick circ.cut: none under channel settings i set ch1 : Axis x ch2 : Axis y ch3 : axis z ch4 : axis rot x ch5 : btn pulse 2 pos 0..1 you might need to setup channels in tryp again. then inside tryp i set the arm disarm buttons to button 1 and button 0 (by moving the switch) now i can arm and disarm with a switch, but its not consistent, eg. if you arm while throttle is not 0 i wont arm, but it will them arm next time your throttle is 0 and your move the same switch. Hope this helps.

you are right. that is my mistake. had just made the uncrashed video, where it was 2.0. and this is really 0.2. in my mind this is the second major patch of the simulator. then again i would be excited if they plan to make an even bigger update for the 1.0 patch :D

oh, hmm haven't tried with a button. Think it would be counterintuitive to have arm on another switch than what I would use in real life. And yes me too, altso a little annoyed. Hope they will fix it at some point.

@@RaukFPV I think it's possible to change SA from an axis to a button if you put EdgeTX into advanced joystick mode, it lets you do more stuff. Instead of using some other literal button.

If you are used to going full throttle, right racing in velocidrone, this will seem like slowmotion. Velocidrone is better for sim racing.

Liftoff is fine, i personally don't think it's the best at anything. Uncrashed is good, pretty good physics, good graphics and decently optimized. Velocidrone is the best option if you are racing primarily. Haven't used fpv logic enough to form an opinion.

Yep, i did find a work around for the arm mode. It's still not perfect but it's a little better. You can make a custom joystick mode in edge tx and then make the arm disarm as two different buttons. This way it works. But if you arm while in menus or when you can't it becomes backwards.

I set it to 3 mode buttons (Tango 2), but it's not the same as in real-life setup. And the sim itself is awesome after the update! I love it 🥰

Not entirely sure, the little experience i have with Linux i think it should be possible to make it work.

I think just any dongle.. And plug it in the USB. Important is to turn the controller on BEFORE running the game. Otherwise I won't be able to recognise the controller@@RaukFPV I use my controller for Uncrashed, TRYP and LiftOff

it depends on the type of crash, most often when i crash my real life drone its because i hit something on one of the sides trying to hit gaps, and in that case it spins. comparing it to most other simulators they feel as if i am flying a cinewhoop/bumbercar. just bouncing off what ever i hit.

100% this is not realistic. i do pretty hard freestyle in reality and in this sim, and i never had such funny spins in reallife

I cant play tryp because it gives me lots of motion sickness. Uncrashed doesnt make me that. I tried this last version and its the same for me. Do you know why this can happen, and not in other simulators?

Yes, motion sickness can come from different things. Normally our brains gives us motion sickness when our balance nerve in our ear dosent match up with what we see or expect. In gaming though the way graphics are redered it can be processed differntly by our brains. A lot of people (me included) gets motion sickness when motion blur is enabled. i would recommend to try and turn off motion bur, and see if that helps. Under the graphics settings you can set motion blur to off. Also try if you can get a consistent frame rate of 60+ at least, Let me know if it helps.

Velocidrone 100%, tryp doesnt even come close. Not even velocidrone is comparable to real life but tryp is just good graphics imo veloci is the goat.

@@RaukFPV For some reason the quad has some power in it even with 0 throttle. After crassing and hitting respawn the quad run it self and makes me go before counting. The launch type before counting isn't working anymore and flying got harder for some reason. I used to make gold medals on some races and now I can't fly 😂😂😂 The graphics became harder for my pc (before I could play really well, now it freeze or doesn't update like it should, even at low quality). Not trying to advertise any other sim but with the sim starting from Un* play really good. I'm learning, so my skills are beginners but at least there I can fly!

​@@illuminatorix that dosent sound good. im assuming you tried to fly the predefined drones, as well as checked the controller input to see if its working. you could try to reset the settings by deleting the save game files, but you will also loose the medals you have achived. But it might be worth a try.

It's delivered to RU-vid at 25 fps which is a popular standard for uploaded videos. RU-vid doesn't do 120 fps videos. It's impossible to convey just what a variable framerate game looks like in an encoded video anyway, you would have to be literally sitting in front of his screen to see what he sees.

That is correct, I'm getting twice my refresh rate on my monitor, to avoid vertical tearing. But when I edit my videos i use a 25fps timeline, so it wont match what I'm seeing here on RU-vid.

@@mjodr Im pretty sure 60fps is also a Standardort yet. And as long as my own monitor does 120Hz as well it IS possible to convey the frame rate of 120 fps lol

Yes playing in 25 fps would be horrible. But I'm playing at 119 fps, at a 60hz monitor. And I'm editing the video in 25 fps because I'm from Europe, and all my csmeras are using pal. So 25/50/100 fps.

Its not uncommon to get motion sickeness when flying or experiencing fpv. Thanks for watching :D Ive added a technical explantion if you want to read it :D During my years at university i did a project on Virtual reality, so heres a technical explation. Normally, gaming does have an advantage, but there are a few differences. Nausea is often occurring when our inner ear resposible for balance and our visual perception dosent match up. or when our brains cant accept when one is out of place. so when playing games like doom, you are behaving like a "regular" human always standing/crouching the right side up, so the sky is always upward. this mimics our real life perception of how its "supposed" to be. when we fly fpv drones, we do a lot of flips and rolls, and often our brain is not meant to process those signals. So our brain finds a mismatch between our visuals and our balance nerve, and our brain assumes that we have been poisoned as our vision must be afffected. therefor it signals the stomach to throw up what must have been consumed, prior to experiencing this. TLDR: vision and balance nerve does match, brain assumes poison and wants to throw up.

wow, sad to hear that. before i would have ranked Tryp the lowest, now i honestly think its close to competing with velocidrone. but if you are a racer i would definitely go with Velocidrone. for more reasons. in my opinion tryp is catching up real fast, and if they can continue to work closely with the betaflight development team, we could see some real good improvements. Its a hard thing to simulate real life, theres a lot of variables that you cant cant program into a "game" while running real time. its gonna be quite some while before we can get that. In tryp did you fly their presets, or spend some time to make a custom drone? i found that making a custom drone, and fiddeling with the settings made it mroe similar to my real life drones. I love tryp aswell dont get me wrong! I like the scenery and the maps, I do 99% freestyle. It is indeed catching up fast, there is moments when i prefer tryp more aswell, might be just that im more used to velocidrone/or my real life quads perform more similiar to velocidrone so that drives my opinion further. But for sure tryp is developing at a faster pace in my opinion and it will be better one day there is high chance! I spent some time trying to get the specs/settings as close as possible to irl aswell but youre right its hard to make it very realistic, even the psychological factor drives a huge part in sim/irl@@RaukFPV

I do really like Velocidrone as well, and it still is the sim ive used the most since i started. there is a few things i would like to have in Velocidrone, that Tryp have, but theres also quite a few things i would like Tryp to have that velocidrone haves. Better controller input(still cant arm/disarm with controller), better spawn points, a custom map maker, or at least one map to setup custom tracks. Even though i am a 100% freestyle pilot real life, it would have lots of benefits to make tracks that you should follow to practice better control, and planning. And you are ablsolutely right, the psychological factor is huge. and it really impacts your performance when flying. Im a lot better freestyle pilot in the simulator, simply because i have no fear of crashing/destrying a drone. @SwipeLess

I don't think it's far from reality. There are definitely some differences, but i do think they are getting pretty close.

It may not be the best, but none of the sims are. Anyway you need to mess with the settings in any sim if you want it to feel more real. Nothing beats reality in FPV. They only help to build the muscle memory, so as I said, none of them are close enough to real life FPV.

What would you like to see in the maps? Maybe we can get the developers to make it :)

@@RaukFPV The maps needs to be more intercut, the warehouse in the video for example is way too small for example it should be a very large abandoned building but inside there's lots of tight intercut series tunnels and holes to fly through. The design should be a similar reason why you'd like watching someone's FPV film on youtube. A radio range and penetration simulation can be tested as well. Every map needs to be reworked; the maps are extremely dull with nothing in the map and lack a reason to play as a simulator to practice; recharge batteries; fly without crashing all which still needs to be simulated. I do think its the best sim, or going to be to fly before actually flying a real drone for actual hand eye coordination compared to liftoff/uncrashed/etc. but its not a good actual freestyle simulator yet.
