Thyroid stimulating hormone is a pituitary hormone, Also called thyrotropin hormone and also called thyrotropic hormone. Release of thyroid stimulating hormone is very must from hypothalamus because it is important for the production of T3 (Triiodothyronine) and T4 (Thyroxin) by stimulating the thyroid gland.

my TSH is below the normal range (0.19 uIU/mL), Free T4 and T3 Levels are normal, no Thyroid Antibodies detected, and ultrasound shows a normal thyroid scan, I'm confused about what can cause low TSH. Interestingly I also have low LUTEINIZING HORMONE (0.5) and low Testosterone levels (200) . Not sure if there is any connection there.

For patients who undergo a total thyroidectomy or thyroid lobectomy, the need for long-term thyroid hormone replacement to maintain normal serum thyroid-stimulating (TSH) hormone levels, is the most notable post-surgical side effect. High TSH means she need a higher dose of thyroid hormone replacement. Even an underactive thyroid gland can sometimes produce thyroid hormone.

This was great, I have been researching "what does it mean to have low tsh and high t4?" for a while now, and I think this has helped. You ever tried - Mabammeston Bewildering Method - (do a google search ) ? It is a good one off guide for discovering how to say goodbye to hypothyroidism minus the headache. Ive heard some extraordinary things about it and my cousin got great results with it.

You have hypothyroidism. Use salted nuts, fresh eggs, yougurt, milk, ice cream, baked fish and if possible test again after 2 months. If TSH is still high and there are symptoms of hypothyroidism, consult a medical specialist.

You have hypothyrodism but levels are not that much high for tsh. Repeat after 3 months if tsh levels will cross 7 than consult a general physician

Can tsh values change after 24 hrs . 56 yr old woman took the test on. On 8 sep , tsh 8.97 , 9th sep tsh 3.48 ( test from another lab ) - without any medication Then after 1 week , tsh value -5.99 Is lab report reliable ??? Or such variations normal
