i just realized where that celebration came from thanks to this clip....Now i will just continue to do it online to troll the rage kids and honor the legend Tshabalala
The best world cup ever. A national team that never won before became World Champion, first World Cup played in Africa, revelation teams like Ghana, super cool songs, excellent crowds. I think that will never be a World Cup this kind of epic
It only got moved to December because Europeans wouldn't bitching about a little heat and so the World Cup got moved to accommodate delicate Europussy sensitivities.
I was 19. It was the first World cup in Africa. South Africa has demonstrated that Africa wasn't misery, war and famine. According to me, the best one i watched. More than proud to be African. I'im grateful to the south African people. A football enthusiast from Abidjan.
This moment was so chillie because the fans were all happy celebrating without realizing that this goal, that this world cup did cost them huge amounts of money and workforce which throwed the economic process of the country for at least 10 years back. The worst world cup ever in human history! I feel for this poor country and their foolish jubilation.
Tobias Trust What a stupid thing to say. This is about football, any fan who witnessed that live will never forget that moment in their lives, what happens in their country at the hands of politicians and businessmen has nothing to do with them, this was a beautiful moment for any football fan and especially South Africans.
This moment brings tears in my eyes everytime. Peter drury made me cry on this day like a baby, and am Ugandan! I wonder how south Africans must have felt! I love Africa, Best world cup ever!!
@@Iskandarthepanda I'm not from South Africa I am from Ghana I was mad that Suarez had cheated his way to the semi's. Ghana should've been in semi's or even the final. Though this goal made me proud of Africa
Hopefully not for a long time. It will be North America next, then hopefully it will be in britain and Ireland in 2030 as it’s not been here since 1966 and is arguably the most football daft country in the world, the founding nations of football and has the biggest and most popular league in the world. If it went back to Africa again after such a short time that would be unfair
I’m American, and we played Algeria in 2010. I was 12 years old, and this World Cup made me fall in love with the game and the culture of football. I feel the same way you do, Lots of Love from 🇺🇸 to 🇩🇿 🇿🇦
I'm Brazilian and this brings a tear to my eye everytime I watch it. Truly one of the most iconic moments in the history of world cups, maybe THE most one among the WCs I have watched
The lesser nations never get the credit they deserve like the big nations sadly. Tim Cahill scored a goal for Australia with a volley 6 years later that some people were putting in the same breath as Marco van Basten’s wonder volley against the former Soviet Union in 1988 yet could only be ranked 6 in the Top 10 goals of the tournament.
One of my favourite goals ever. The finish from Tshabalala, the awesome celebration, the fact the hosts South Africa scored the first goal of the tournament and finally the amazing Peter Drury commentary to put the icing on the cake. Wonderful scenes
I'm not African but am a diehard football fan. Watching this goal combined with the poetic commentary peter Drury makes me cry every time. And it's been 12 years!
Its been a decade and still The best WC ever The best WC song Best opening goal Top players at their peak Controversial moments Spain tiki taka David villa and forlan brilliant That van bronckhorst screamer De jong karate kick Iniesta s winner South africa 2010 had it all
+sub Vuvuzelas litteraly destroyed the whole world cup. The players couldn't even talk to each other on the pitch, 'cus the only thing they heard was the bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
I think he meant this because South Africa were the hosts, and the first African host nation and this was the opening goal so RSA were representing Africa.
10 years ago today, and I still get goosebumps when Tshabala's goal goes in and the commentator's words " GOAL FOR SOUTH AFRICA, GOAL FOR ALL AFRICA!!!!!!!"
I remember watching this game in a café in Tunis and everyone just went nuts when the goal was scored, it still gives me goosebumps when I hear goal for all Africa
It ;s been 8 years since those days!!! Some of those people have passed away, A generation of players have retired and will never back again , some have families and children now, some others have lost their beloved ones and their lives have dramatically changed. Some have lost their jobs, some got new jobs, some got new promotions presidents were toppled, some countries fell in civil wars How fast time has slipped, everything disappears and nothing left but memories Hope one day the world comes together and lives as happy as in this vid
Oscar your African I take it! This WC brought nothing but more poverty and misery when it was supposed to bring hope and mercy for millions of Africans! Damn disgrace!
Even as a Mexican I couldn’t help but feel sheer happiness for all of Africa when this goal was scored. Although, I still really wanted us to win. 😂 Much love ❤️
I am lucky to be born as African. Such a beautiful continent with beautiful people, beautiful souls and big talents. This moment was a moment of pride for me although I’m not from RSA but I am always happy to see Africa shines anywhere. 💖🌍
This is one moment that'll never forget in my life. I'm not even a South African but when Tshabalala scored this goal, thanks for Peter I had goosebumps all over my body. When I looked the other side, my mom & sister had tears of joy. All I want is for Africa to win anything they're competing in, we've gone & still going through a lot 🥺
I̶k̶o̶ F̶a̶i̶s̶a̶l̶ don't be fooled by that horseshit. That WC was supposed to bring hope and mercy for millions of Africans but brought nothing but misery and despair. Only a few fat corrupt Africans benefited and got fatter while millions others starved on the streets. This commentator is just clueless and waffling without knowledge! The truth is this WC did nothing for Africans! Nothing what so ever!
Cool Randomguy nigga gtfoh u been tricked! But I get the feeling your probably one of those fat corrupt politician. The handful that benefited from the WC smoke screen n fleeced all the income from the WC. Like those African billionaires that won't help his fellow starving Africans while they hoard their billions in wealth which they don't need .but u just wait till the day of judgement the burden of all that wealth they carry with them . They will be questioned about what good they did with their wealth that God bestowed them with! And woe to them the punishment will be extremely painful and humiliating.
I am not one of them Lol, I am only a teenager. Where are you from and are you one of the ones suffering?? I understand there are many bad peopl, but in this particular instant it was just a reference to football, not all the problems.
Cool Randomguy I'm from UK n no I'm not suffering but the commentator is making out as if that goal is a great thing for all of Africa. I mentioned it coz I watched a program about 6 years after the WC n if it had changed anything in south Africa n ppl said nothing changed in fact things r worse when fifa promised that the WC would bring prosperity and improvement. All the money went in to a few ppls corrupt pockets
Something about this tournament was simply magical. I’m Brazilian and we didn’t win it, but by god was this the most special World Cup I’ve ever seen after 2022
Agreed mate football was just better in them days. All the old legends from late 80' 90's and the 2000s were on their way out by about this time coming into the new decade.
Even if the GK knew where he would shoot, still he wouldn't be able to save that shoot. It was unbelievable goal by Mr. Tshabalala, respect to South Africa 🇿🇦
@@22Doublemaniac22 but the goals were better, so much group stage drama, so many upsets and controversial moments. It was a joy to watch. By far the best, 2014 doesn't hold a candle to it. 2018 was good tho
Seriously there is something mystical and magical about this goal. Goal, celebration, Drury’s comments, that “ goal for all Africa line “ I love everything about this goal!!!
En verdad es un gol muy bonito, la anticipación de los centrales al pase al Delantero, la recuperación, los pases perfectamente ejecutados y el pase al espacio mas la velocidad de Tshabalala y la finalización impecable... Un gran gol en la historia de los mundiales
