Today, June 17, 2023, I, a black-American have now listened to "Dezo Dezo at least five time. I'd never heard of Tshala Mwana before, despite being into African music for fifty years, especially soukous. I got into this listening to the African Show on Columbia University's African Show on WKCR radio. Hearing the beauty of her singing with the wonderful guitar playing brought tears to my eyes. I shed even more tears when I read the comments indicating Tshala is no longer with us. What a loss to all of us who love her singing and HER. I'm a new fan who feels her passing deeply. Tshala, may you rest in peace forevermore. As long as I breath, I will be a loving fan of this great woman.

This exceptionally talented dancer and singer was also amongst the most prolific composers in Congolese music history, almost pairing Franco Luambo, Tabu Ley and Koffi Olomide on a the number of recorded albums. She recorded a total of 29 albums and a dozen singles. She was extremely productive, releasing albums almost every year especially 1982 and 1997. What's more astounding is the sheer amount of masterpieces she released. Just incredible ! I would recommend you songs such as Amina, Kapinga, Cicatrice d'amour, Yoyo, Ngoyi, Munanga, Lwa Touye, Nasi Nabali, Golgota, Mbumba, Malu, Tshovo, Mulopo, etc. We were blessed to have known such a great artist of great humility and talent.

Si en Afrique de l'ouest, les chansons Amina, Cicatrice d'amour ont fait tabac, en Afrique de l'est c'étaient les chansons Kokola, Dezo Dezo et Karibu Yangu qui ont fait un malheur. Au Kenya, la chanson Karibu Yangu est la fanfare officielle de l'armée kényane. En Afrique australe, Cicatrice d'amour (deuxième version) et Mam Wenu ont cartonné comme c'est pas permis. En Afrique centrale, y compris dans son pays la RDC, Cicatrice d'amour, Tshibola et Malu viennent en tête des chansons de Tshala que presque tout le monde, vieux et jeunes, peut chanter. En RDC, dans tous les quatre coins du pays, depuis 20 ans il est presque impossible d'avoir une fête sans que la chanson Malu ne soit jouée

Ndala Ksheba was a Congolese musician who came to Tanzania in early 1970s. At the moment he was a band leader of Orchestra Fouvette (with which he came).Then he renamed it as Orchestra Safari Inkoy. He once played with Orchestra Safari Sound. His last band was Zaita Musica. Did you know this?

@@amoswangombe9053 you are right my fellow African but what you don't know is that the 90's Mozambique was Afri-centric in terms of culture and music. especially the music from RD Congo🇨🇩, Zim🇿🇼 and South Africa 🇿🇦 and it's not about the language but the melody and the vibe.

No one outside SA understands what they sing in Amapiano but we all dance to it, neither does anyone outside DRC understand Lingala but we all shake our beer bellys to it. He loves them free, and yes, he ain't quitting this lifestyle. It's just nice that a Congolese woman is singing about important things in swahili.
