As a 30-year journalist trying to now make an independent living digitally after decades in print…I thoroughly enjoyed this discussion. Truly appreciate the quality, depth and attention to objectivity that you adhere to and hope the industry can sustain this transitional period to the point that your ideals survive. 1:06:44 As a TSL freelancer, I can confirm: Will, David, and Chris are almost obnoxiously easy to work with 😂. Very little resistance to pitched ideas compared to other experiences I've had - and David definitely answers emails way too late at night. A+ experience all around.

Enjoyed this interview. I dabble in freelance outdoor writing on the side so it was great to learn some insider info about journalism. As a VT alum and fan, kudos to TSL for hiring Andy!

Used to love the athletic. Definitely went away from good journalism as Andy described. Firing Andy was the last straw for me. Glad hes with TSL now.
