I liked this review! Informative and insightful. Just a question from a newbie. I am looking at these myself. I am 210 lb myself, and dresses and a dayback would be pushing 230 lb. I feel I am in the middel of a M and an L size. TSL claim the size medium goes up to 260 lb, and snowshoing testers often recommend going with the smalles size you can get away with. What do you think about this?
Great review, detailed yet concise... I hike up in New Hampshire where trails get very icy and I noticed that the crampons are curved slightly back. Do they slip on ice covered descents? Thanks!
I used the Symbioz Hyperflex beyond Upper Yosemite Falls last February and it did excellent on icy descents and ascents. I was loaded with a 65L backpack. I did a video on this and posted on a FB snowshoe group page.
