Well, in my humble opinion I think they both get a little tired of the public trying to pair them up as a romantic couple! Just because they have a great connection and have chosen to have a "partnership" it's unfortunate that they continually get bombarded with the boyfriend/girlfriend narrative. At the end of the day it's no ones business what they truly feel for one another and I also remember Tessa saying in their TV show T&S that they are so very different! You can love someone and even be attracted to a certain level or degree but have your reasons why you don't take it to the next level. I just wish people would respect their privacy and not be so vested in their personal lives when they are skating and pouring their everything into the sport of Ice Dancing!

@@debrastevenson709 Tessa and Scott were a public relations dream due to their "story". Their charisma, charm with the press and fans and their extreme skating expertise made them a total package. They say they are great friends however shouldn't be surprised they were pushed to be romantic partners and were totally convincing at it. They did everything a committed romantic couple did--- wedding shoots, romantic dinners, intimate conversations, reality show and on and on. They are great actors and now both Tessa and Scott are a bit more forth coming with how they were managed. Would they have been as popular if the "romantic" angle hadn't been so highly pushed? Ya can't blame the fans for believing they were a romantic couple when that was indeed the story the handlers were pushing.
