Very informative interview! Learned some about the soap making process and glad to see HC & C is willing to modernize in order to keep prices the same ❤
Great interview Bary! Pete's a standup guy and he's very judicious in the decisions he makes, always with the customer in mind. He also stands behind all his products and is tops in customer service. I've worked with him quite a bit over the years and like me, he wants to get to the bottom of any issue a customer has and solve it, not only for that customer, but for all the customers. You don't want to be chasing problems, you don't want anybody to have a problem in the first place. Supply chain issues and shortages is a drag, but you just got to roll with it and adjust. I know Pete will have a great base as this isn't the first time he's had to change bases because of supply issues and I'm already a fan of coconut oil. Have a great one Bary!
Wow! Awesome production and those were great questions. Thank you Bary and Pete. Looking forward to the new base. And a BIG shoutout to Mully for that commercial!!!😂
Awesome interview Bary! Great idea to have Pete Hendrix on for the interview and having him explain the new base and the future of certain soap ingredients. That was really interesting🙂👍 And the HC&C commercial with Mully was awesome! He did what we all are thinking when we have a soap that smells so good. It must taste good too! 😂
This TSNN approach is classic. Loved every minute of it. The HC&C commercial was a total surprise. You and Mully did a great job. Side note, I wonder if Mully had his mouth washed out with soap as a youngster? Yuk yuk🙈
Ha!! I'm not sure if he has. I sure did once. It's not a good taste. Mully is the man for doing that for me. I am very glad you enjoyed the video, sir.
What Pete mentioned about homage fragrance oils is more common than he thinks. Many, many companies (just about any that produce any scented products like candles & soaps) use pre-made fragrance oils. Why? Raw ingredients used to make the perfume oils cost an astonishing amount & even a trained perfumer spends most their time experimenting with scents so a lot of it goes to waste & it can take sometimes years to create a scent. Very expensive to pay a perfumer for years before the scent is even ready to be sold & you don’t even know if it’ll be a hit or miss. It just wouldn’t be feasible for any smaller artesian company to increase their cost so drastically when so many companies already sell pre made oils. Big companies like Tom Ford, Hugo Boss, Gucci etc. often buy pre made scents then introduce & sell them under their fragrance collection. I was deep in the perfumery rabbit hole years before I jumped into the wet shaving rabbit hole, I find it all very interesting. So all though I agree with Pete that it is by far the smarter option, I think he was a little off on the number of companies already doing it
Bary, Pete, what a fantastic video. This is the first Wet Shaving video that I’ve seen that diversified from an actual shave generic. Well done Bary you are building a great RU-vid platform on quality content and variety. If either of you need a viewer from Australia to test a sample or keychain let me know 😂
Thank you for those kind words, my fruend! This video was a lot of fun to make. The thanks go to Pete for taking the time to do the interview. And the news room idea was his as well. I just threw some editing "magic" to it.
Love Pete’s work! Fantastic products. Mully commercial was great lol but I got some of Pete’s product in my mouth and it was not good to the Last drop. Looking forward to Tobins psychedelic bus driver collaboration. 😂
Great Interview Barry, Pete’s attention to detail and making quality premium products goes unmatched. I’m certain the new base will continue to meet expectations that have been set by HC&C. Well done
I am not sure on the timing, but I do know it will come out very soon due to his current stock of ingredients. As far as it marked on the tub, that I do not know other than the ingredients listed will be different. Ill ask Pete if he has a name for the new base.
