Always felt that was a bit strange. Some shows with an accessable power system like Naruto and Black Clover are like, "congratulations, you are the strongest person in our community. We want you to stay nearby to protect our home, so instead of making you a mentor or allowing you to get even stronger, we are going to have you deal with politics and paperwork. (By accessible, I mean it is rare to not engage or be unable to engage the power system at all) [for example, I consider Naruto's and Black Clover's power systems more accessible than Dragon Ball or Hunter x Hunter. Even though they all rely on an energy mostly inherent to life, Basically everyone in BC can at least casually use magic, many people can become ninja if they want, even if they are not from a ninja clan, Ki control is only known and taught by a select few, and the Hunter examinations are very selective.]

@@xvingar6318 Tsunade tricked Orochimaru right after she tricked Jiraya, Orochimaru however never tricked Tsunade, even when he tried to exploit her weakness . Orochimaru might be more knowledgeble or inteligent about the shinobi world in general, but Tsunade surely must be more witty than him .

@@austinjeffries5741 something I found out recently, sakura was actually nerfed in manga/anime adaptations of the original light novel. In the light novel her chakra control was so good she could catch a jutsu and throw it back, cushion deadly blows, send her chakra through a building and get the exact layout and where people were, and more if I'm not mistaken. Assuming the RU-vid short wasn't lying she used to be OP

I wouldn't slough off Tsunade's battle smarts though. She wasn't one of the Legendary Sannin because she could read. At a tactical level she was the one who pushed for medical ninjas to be incorporated into squads. At a strategic level she concentrated on healing the village as opposed to throwing herself away uselessly against Pain. Kakashi or Shikamaru smarter? Probably but you'd hardly be in a bad spot needing to rely on her.

Tsunade tricked Jiraya with the poison and was nearly about to trick a cunning snake like Orochimaru with the fake healing if it wasn't for Kabuto . Tsunade is battle cunning.

true but kakashi and shikamaru are very book smart too but yes not as much as tsunade but tsunade doesnt have the level of combat iq those two have. the gap between those two’s battle iq and tsunade’s is bigger than the gap between tsunade’s book smarts and shikamaru and kakashi’s. so by default that would make the two of them smarter than her.

Ironically, Tsunade and Shikamaru are more similar while Sakura and Kakashi are more aligned. Sakura focused more on her actual battle tactics in her training while Shikamaru focused on overall battle tactics, Kakashi looks at how he'll fight as the main fighter while Tsunade thinks of herself as major support.

And since the team had a bunch of drop plot, neji freedom thing getting destroyed because naruto was a the one and he die protecting hinata so he was never free and tenten being the only good guy to use 6 path tools and nothing came from it and lee getting stronger just to stay in might guy shadow all of shippuden, so is like why not give lee even more of a reason to be the number 2 of the leaf and I don’t watch boruto but I haven’t heard nothing special about lee just guy beat metal easier with one leg than lee did
