"1/31/13 From The Lord, Our God and Savior The Word of The Lord Spoken to Timothy For All Those Who Have Ears to Hear Thus says The Lord: Behold, the waves of the sea shall be risen up in the day of My anger, and they shall crash upon the shore and ravage the banks. The waters shall be very tumultuous, and with an awful noise they shall break down the barriers and pass through, reaching far and wide. For I shall strike the westernmost parts, causing the hidden foundations to rise up suddenly, and with great violence shall they be thrust upward from beneath. And the people shall be greatly astonished on account of the waters and due to the devastation. Behold, the day is coming and is very near, when I shall utterly devastate the coastlands and bring forth judgment, even upon the whole of this great and mighty nation. For they have not ceased from upholding their abominations, nor have they turned back from their ever-increasing perversions, nor have they put a stop to the slaughter of the innocent. Yes, they continue in their evil ways, passing laws and allowing even all things which I said they shall not do, provoking Me to anger! Therefore, I shall indeed stretch out My hand against them, and bring upon them desolations of every kind, until My wrath is satisfied and My anger has abated, says The Lord." www.thevolumesoftruth.com/Desolations
My crypto mentor Mr Kevlin Morrison , you may have come across him on a few interviews I invested $3000 last two weeks and it profited me $11,410 a higher success.
Wow I know Mr Kevlin Morrison . I met him at a conference in carlifornia 2019 where he introduced us his business strategy, he helped me cover my student loans
I’ve been trading crypto with Mr kevlin Morrison for over a year now and I've made about a whooping profit of $86,000 in crypto its not much but I'm ok with the progress since i now make a whole lot from the comfort of my bed.
My husband and I took our family to Bodega Bay on saturday. Having NO IDEA what happened. We make it to the beach to use the restroom and see a note posted on the door. Tsunami Warning. We were in shock! We look on RU-vid and seen what happened. Prayers for Tonga and anyone affected by this.
You want tidal waves, try being out in the water, when a earthquake hits out in the water. Sept 4th 1981 I was swimming in H.B. with a friend and her dad. A 5.5 earthquake hit Santa Barbara Island. And 30 ft waves were rolling towards us beautifully. I remember looking to the left and then to the right, down the beach and this was one HUGE solid wave that was miles long. I remember thinking WTF? This wave was bigger than my two story house. After we managed to go under this massive wave, and then seeing another one of its size coming at us fast. The water was so deep we couldn't even touch the ground. And there was no way we had any time to get out of the ocean, because waves of that size breaking and the white wash would have killed us easily. We took on 10 massive waves before the waves started giving us sometime in between each wave, so we could get out. I will never forget that morning back in 81. I'm just thankful we all survived to live through something as intense as that all was. That definitely was a surfers dream.
Thank you for sharing that, I don't think the vast majority of the Earth's population even comprehended the raging destruction of a tsunami until the sumatran quake in 04- myself, lifelong surfer, included. I'll never forget the clip of the little boy who met the first rush of water (that was seemingly benign) and disappeared underneath with his last living breath, God bless his soul. You're very fortunate to be here to tell the tale. 🤙
Great footage! Thanks for sharing. Just mind-boggling that an explosion/eruption could be so strong as to affect coastlines over 5000 miles away! Love and protection to Tonga and the Islands.
I live on an island 3200 km from Tonga , had only marine warning to Secure boats. Ended up having nothing unusual on the beaches. Doesn't make any sense that Tonga volcano had anything to do with this.
While that is basically true, all data coming from NOAA suggested that the risk would be mostly for people in the water and on very low-lying areas. Most of the damage was expected to be limited to structures like boats, docks, and beaches. That sea wall was high enough that the risk was pretty small. Now, had the eruption happened closer to the West Coast, that would be a very different story. Hawaii for example saw some very unfortunate damage, and gawking at the tsunami would’ve been genuinely stupid to do there.
When I was 5 my grandfather took me to Mission Beach, when he said that the tide was coming in I thought he meant Tidal wave and ran towards the parking lot screaming. These people amazed me.
My brother was eat'n by a rip curl with his back to the ocean at mission beach when we were kids. Had to get a ton of stitches. That was just a regular surf day when that happened. Sometimes I miss California.
GOV'T: ** Tsunami Warning ** stay away from the coasts. Unnpredictable waves could cause damage! People: Dude there's a Tsunami! Let's go down to the beach and watch it!
@@zara-of2zw you haven't any idea what you're talking about. You don't know who these surfers are and their knowledge of bouy readings and swell forecasts- I knew shortly after the quake that's it's energy was pretty small compared to others that prompted surge warnings, I'm sure these guys did too. I'm sure these guys are pretty experienced in the water, after all, 95% of the time a surfer is in the water- they're *paddling on a floatation device*, and if they're kooks; well they've plenty of experience flailing underwater anyways lol. *Edit: upon going back and reading the OP comment I realize you were most likely commentating on the bystanders and not necessarily the surfers- whether or not the latter were included, it's my mistake. Peace
I'm the first person that will go out and film footage of storms and lightning, but those people standing there with those giants waves coming? Absolutely insane!
If what reached our west coast was what hit coast in Southeast Asia 20 or so years ago then there would have not been so much devastation. Good sized Pacific storms that hit America’s western shorelines cause way more damage. The real damage from this is in a wide area around where the Tongan volcano blew. New Zealand got hit worse. And many of those South Pacific islands. Heck, even Peru did.
Thank you for some great footage. Unless you know this harbor and the local waters, it's difficult to understand the dynamics and power of these tsunami surges. T he inner jetty is a life saver for our slipped boats. Thanks Curt.
Stand right by the tsunami area warning sign. It's often not the first waves that are the biggest. Some of these look just like the ocean as the tsunami waves began hitting Japan in 2011. Didn't turn out that way for this. Thank Goodness!
@@johnbockelie3899 I used to play w the waves in SF and Muir Beach and my oldest son did the same. But NOT during a king tide or tusnami ⚠️⚠️. BTW when my son got knocked down the first thing he said after. WHO PUT ALL THAT SALT IN THE WATER 😅😅😂😂🤣🤣🌹💖🌎 he was fine as was in SF. U LEARN real quick. DONT DO THAT. but some people never learn till it's to late 💖🌹
Good footage there. We had surges too in New Zealand. The tsunami caused significant damage at Tutukaka Marina, with eight to 10 boats sunk and many others damaged.
I have watched another video that has the numerous eruption blasts and I can only imagine what it must have sounded like when Krakatoa erupted. The sound of Krakatoa erupting was heard around the world! Such power
I lived in Northen CA for 6 years and we visited frequently the Half Moon Bay area! I miss that life 😪, I have the best memories living there... I wish I can come back one day and settle there again... Wishes come true! 🤞 😪
Cannot believe that after everything we know about the unpredictable nature of Tsunami waves, people still get that close. Just lucky it wasn’t as big as Japan but at that point no one could be sure. I would film it from high ground only.
But it's all about those social media and RU-vid views and getting footage to sell onto the news. At the end of the day it's recording a moment in history and natures way of selecting who goes first during a tsunami pushing into the shore.
Once caught in riptide at Tamarack Beach, CA. Took me way out. I flowed with it and just floated on top. Lifeguards made it out to where was and brought me in. I knew it would eventually return me to shore and kept moving sideways to leave it but darn scary. I can't imagine the rip on the tsunami waves pulling back out. Many people die in the surge pull back. Know friends who surf ar craziest times but during a tsunami has got to be the worst time. Not to mention our great whites and bull sharks that love churned up water spilling out of rivers into sea. Yummy feeding time.
@@somethingclever2180 Or tiger sharks. The West Coast just has the great white shark. Which I would much rather have than bulls and tiger sharks. Great whites are very docile shark that aren't interested in us humans. Most attacks by great whites on humans are always a mistake in identity. As long as you don't look like a seal, being on a surfboard or out diving in a full-body wetsuit and hood. I live on the beach in Huntington Beach for over 50 years. And not one time has a great white ever came up to shore, to attack a person swimming or wading in the water. So the West Coast is safe enough to enjoy it. East Coast, no way.
@@outoftime7740 I actually looked it up after reading your comment cause I was like, I don't think that's true, but you're correct. Logically, I agree with your point about great whites being the lesser threat....but then my dumb brain kicks in and goes "but look how scary it is!" 😂 I do not go in the water except maybe to my toes, or ankles at the most. They don't come in my home, so I don't go in theirs! 😂
I surf #HalfMoonBay all the time at #SurfersBeach. Great video and I love the last shot of the cam looking back at the rock wall on the surfers side. Thanks for sharing this incredible video with us! 💚 🕯 🙏
I can understand the sentiment cause I feel the same way about my state...however if I personally had grown up anywhere in that state I doubt I'd have the same kind of attachment and definitely wouldn't think about going back.... never been to yours or most states....let me guess, u moved to Texas right?
I wish the Tongan ppl and surrounding islands my prayers and thoughts. Bloody earth has gone mad too like covid. No its not the end of the world like some would make u believe .. Frankly though, those idiots have no clue as to how powerful those waves actually are
Or the last laugh. I'll NEVER understand WHY people r IDIOTS like this. I was born in SF 🌹💖. Rule #1 U DONT MESS W MOTHER NATURE IN THE 🌊💦🌊💦🌍🌎🌍 rule#2-. When in doubt 🧐 🙄 c RULE #1!!!!
A zillion years ago.. maybe 1959-1962..my family went down to the area just south of Pigeon Point: there was supposed to be a very good low tide For fishing off the rocks... we all could not understand the huge huge low tide!!! And a pretty flat ocean. For a very long while. Got back to the City about 4 pm & heard on the radio in the truck- there was a Tsunami Warning that day for California coast!!!!
Not to be a dick or anything, but apparently, this underwater volcano has been gurgling away for a while now, and while all these pics are great, why d9id no one think to drop some remote cams on some buoys at various locations centered around that thing ? can you imagine the SIZE of those waves ? the video would be gold..in fact, I don't think I've ever seen footage of a real honest to god monster tsunami, those waves would easily have been ten meters plus easy
I *surely* hope that NO ONE risks their life to "rescue" a thrill seeker that is, or was looking to ride the big one. However, thats their choice on either side. *YAH* is nearing home plate.
I'll admit, I would head out to check it out if I knew a Tsunami was coming to a nearby coast, but I'm not going to be on the waters edge if I know it's a Tsunami!
